00:00He is the Lord.
00:01What a great joy and blessed morning
00:04to thank the Lord for all his goodness and faithfulness
00:08in all our lives.
00:10The Bible says,
00:12He that keepeth Israel will never sleep or not slumber.
00:17The Lord is always protecting us under his wings
00:21and he has a loving us every beautiful day
00:25to thank him, to praise him from the bottom of our hearts.
00:29Let's pray.
00:31Heavenly Father, we thank you and we praise you for this morning.
00:35As we boldly come into your presence today,
00:39we pray and we ask you that you will speak to our hearts
00:42and strengthen us.
00:44Father, your word is settled in heaven.
00:47Your word encourages us.
00:49Your word strengthens us.
00:51Your word directs us and your word is a lamp onto our feet.
00:55Guide us into your path.
00:57Lead us, Father.
00:58In Jesus' glorious name we ask and we pray.
01:02Amen.
01:04This morning, dear brothers and sisters,
01:07we'd like to ask you to turn with me
01:10to the book of Isaiah chapter 53 and verse 1.
01:15Who hath believed our report?
01:17To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?
01:21This morning, we're going to talk about the report of Isaiah of Jesus Christ.
01:31The book of Isaiah has 66 chapters.
01:39The book of Isaiah is also called as the small Bible.
01:46The prophet Isaiah is writing Isaiah chapter 53 to the Jews.
01:52He was writing to them this way.
01:55Who hath believed the report that which I have shared to you?
02:01The report that which Isaiah had brought to the people of Jews
02:04is about the Lord Jesus Christ,
02:07is about the Messiah.
02:11The Jews, they read the book of Isaiah.
02:15But from chapter 1 to chapter 52, they will read the chapter Isaiah.
02:21But they will never read the book of Isaiah chapter 53.
02:25But they will read back again from chapter 54 to the chapter 66.
02:31The background and the reason that why Jews,
02:34they'd never read the book of Isaiah chapter 53,
02:36is because it is speaking about Messiah is a suffering servant.
02:42Jews are always expected the Messiah will come and redeem them,
02:49deliver them, and destroy all their enemies.
02:52But Jesus, when he had come to the world,
02:55he said, I have come to give peace.
02:58So that's the reason they never accept Jesus Christ as the Messiah.
03:03So the prophet Isaiah is writing to the people and the nation of Jews.
03:08He is telling to them who had believed our report
03:13when I have given about Jesus Christ.
03:16I have shared with you about the message of Jesus,
03:19but you have not believed it.
03:21You have not trusted him when I shared about his love and his message.
03:26That is what his message.
03:30In Isaiah chapter 53 this morning,
03:32we're going to talk about what is the report of Isaiah
03:36about the Lord Jesus Christ.
03:39Let's turn with me to the book of Isaiah chapter 53 and verse 4.
03:43Surely he had borne our griefs.
03:46In other words, Isaiah is telling to the nation of Judah
03:50that Jesus took away all our sickness.
03:53He took away all our griefs.
03:55The word griefs, it comes from the heart.
03:58It is a deeper experience.
04:04It is not an outward experience.
04:06It is a deeper experience.
04:08Whatever that comes from the heart,
04:11that is sickness, weakness,
04:14griefs, diseases.
04:16And Isaiah says to the nation of Judah,
04:18Jesus took all away our griefs.
04:21This morning, dear brothers and sisters,
04:25Jesus is the one who has taken all away our griefs.
04:29He took away all our sickness,
04:31what we need to suffer in our life.
04:33Our diseases, our weaknesses,
04:37and all kinds of things
04:39have been laid upon Jesus.
04:41He took away all our griefs in our lives.
04:45He is talking to Jews.
04:48In the book of Jeremiah,
04:49the Lord is speaking to the nation of Judah
04:51and said,
04:52there is no healing for you
04:55from the top of the head to the tip of the toe.
04:57There is no healing at all.
05:00You are so sick and you are deceased people.
05:05Jesus came to Jews that he can give them
05:08perfect of healing and strength
05:10from all their griefs,
05:11sorrows, afflictions,
05:12diseases, sickness, weaknesses,
05:15and every kinds of disease.
05:17He wanted to give them peace and healing.
05:21That's why Jesus came to them.
05:23Isaiah is telling to the nation of Judah,
05:25Jesus had borne all our griefs on him.
05:31And verse 5, the Bible says,
05:32he was wounded for us.
05:35He has been wounded for our transgressions.
05:38He was bruised for our iniquities.
05:41And because of his wounds,
05:43we are all completely being healed.
05:46Here we could picture the Lord Jesus Christ
05:48as the perfect healer.
05:51He is a great physician.
05:52He is the one who had healed his people.
05:57He is the greatest one who had healed
06:00all our sicknesses,
06:02all our diseases,
06:03and with his stripes,
06:05we are completely being healed
06:08in all our lives.
06:11This morning, dear brothers and dear sisters,
06:13the Lord is telling to each one of us today,
06:17Jesus is our healer.
06:20He's not only our healer.
06:22Let's turn with me to the book of Isaiah chapter 53,
06:26and we can find in verse 10 and verse 11.
06:31For he shall bear their iniquities.
06:35Isaiah is telling,
06:36and he is giving a good report to the nation of Judah,
06:39that Jesus is the one
06:40who hath took away all our iniquities,
06:44all our sins on him.
06:47And he said,
06:48there is no guilt in his mouth,
06:52or there is no deceit in his mouth.
06:55The second report that Isaiah is giving
06:57to the nation of Judah is,
06:58Jesus is perfect.
07:01The words of Jesus are always perfect.
07:04His words are always encouraging.
07:06His words are always,
07:07give us a good life to the people,
07:10those who hear his words.
07:12Man's words are always,
07:14makes a man to be discouraged,
07:15and makes someone to fall into a trap,
07:18makes someone to be destroying of their life.
07:20But Christ's word will always establish our lives,
07:24will always gives us hope and encourages
07:27when we are in a discouraged position
07:29in a hopeless situation.
07:31He gives us hope in all our lives.
07:34Because there is no deceit,
07:36or no guilt,
07:37no sin,
07:39no unworthy words,
07:41no curse in his mouth.
07:44because where we find in the gospel of John chapter 8,
07:48when a woman who has been caught up in adultery,
07:50she was being brought up to Jesus Christ,
07:53and Jesus considers her not as a sinner,
07:56not as a prostitute,
07:57but Jesus calls her as a woman.
08:00See, what a lovely word.
08:02Isaiah is saying,
08:03Jesus had never sinned.
08:05There is no sin in his mouth.
08:07There is no guilt in his mouth.
08:09He is perfect.
08:11Jesus is perfect in his word.
08:13Jesus is perfect in his work.
08:16Jesus is very perfect in his lifestyle.
08:18Jesus is perfect in his ministry.
08:20Jesus is perfect in all his life.
08:23There is no sin,
08:25no deceit in his mouth.
08:27You know what the Bible says this morning
08:29for each one of us.
08:40He has given us a great challenge
08:42that I am holy
08:44and be ye also holy.
08:48It is a great challenge for us
08:49that even each one of us
08:51should be holy,
08:53being transformed in the image
08:54of his son, Lord Jesus Christ.
08:56that we also,
08:58our conversation should be holy
09:00and being worthy
09:01of the Lord's calling.
09:05So Isaiah say,
09:07you had believed the report
09:08that which I have given
09:09about Jesus Christ.
09:12He was wounded for us.
09:14He was despised for us.
09:15He was rejected for us.
09:16He became a man of sorrows.
09:19He was a man of acquainted with grief.
09:22He was despised
09:23and we have never accepted him
09:27into our hearts.
09:28We have rejected him.
09:31When I have given you
09:33the report about Jesus,
09:34you did all the things,
09:35but Jesus had took away
09:37all our griefs.
09:38The second thing,
09:40Jesus and his words are pure
09:42and there is no deceit
09:44in his mouth.
09:47At least this morning,
09:48the Lord has given us
09:49the opportunity
09:49to come back to the Lord
09:51and to hear the voice of the Lord
09:53and to say,
09:54Lord, I'm sorry for what I have done
09:55and forgive me.
09:57If you are able to do that,
09:59the Lord is able to bless us
10:01and the Lord is able
10:03to make up this word
10:04be fruitful in all our lives.
10:07Let's pray.
