34:37i'm a little bit nervous today because obviously didn't sell any of my deal of the day pieces
34:42so a little bit upset and scared to what's going to happen in the boardroom today
34:47i brought cornerback to the boardroom last week he's definitely going to bring me back if we lose
34:52it's game on i'm ready for a war i feel like i'm walking into a lion's den with nothing to
34:57defend
34:57myself with it is a live tv selling challenge i'm not sure if i sold anything so that leaves me

35:02a pretty vulnerable position you can go through to the boardroom now
35:23so tv shopping um team alpha i believe that karishma you
35:34wanted to be the project manager is that right yes lord sugar but then again pasha you haven't
35:39been a project manager have you you kind of like ducked it um i was waiting for the right task

35:45haven't got experience live selling however i do have a big following on tiktok and i do have a social
35:51media presence so you know i just felt like my skills and abilities would be best for this this
35:57sort of task so pasha's passion versus karishma's charisma yeah i've heard that and i think we worked
36:05really well together okay so product selection the structure that i went in with is i want a high cost
36:11item and a low cost item if we can sell just a few of the high cost items potentially that
36:16could be
36:16the reason that we win the task so what you ended up with was the headphones the water flosser
36:23um and table tennis yeah so where was your luck um karishma while this all this was going on so
36:30lawrence and i spoke of the jewelry expert we were also joined with rothner and dan
36:34um we kind of were competing to get the product we wanted and we expressed our interest in the mid
36:40-range
36:40item you mean the ring the ring the tanzanite ring i was watching you uh selling that stuff
36:46apparently there was 11 in stock or something like that is that right yeah yeah um there still is 11
36:55in stock there is at the moment yeah because i'm afraid you didn't succeed and then one of the reasons
37:00i think you didn't succeed was because in my opinion you missed out the point of who you were selling

37:07it should be love it should be about you know a gift for somebody instead you start giving them a
37:14a geographic um description of where it comes from who gives a about that not exactly lord of the rings
37:23there my friend not quite no i mean in fairness krishman knew a lot about the rings and i think

37:29was a bit of scarcity because um it only comes from a very small area hmm anyway i think the

37:36on your team was you and you with the headphones right correct okay and in the gallery was them

38:19because i have it at home and i did want to have food there as well which unfortunately i saw

38:24and some spinach you stick some in your mouth right and then you get the machine blow on it and

38:32you take it out your mouth with your fingers again yeah it was very very very good yeah the water

38:38coming out it was powerful yeah i could use it to clean the car yeah yeah and then there's the

38:44i like that ping pong thing i was thinking of setting it up in here for me and uh
38:52you sold 28 of those actually yeah anyway there we are so team eclipse now connor you ended up
39:01with what i will call the core machine uh yoga mat correct boring uh and the shoe dryer unusual item
39:10right um so you start off um connor with the um the core circus it looked like you're having an
39:18argument with an ironing board actually yeah yeah i definitely um look i came in with high energy
39:23and passion and i was hoping to shift that by using my energy then you then you call upon dan
39:29he comes in done a few bits and pieces and then went off we were we were we were doing
39:35a couple to
39:36work out at one stage i was doing pilates and dan was doing some core exercises so yeah i do
39:40i do think
39:40it was sellable i just probably didn't do myself justice moving on from there then so you
39:47had the um bracelet you look like you're putting on handcuffs at one stage a lot you lost the key
39:56you're fumbling around dan did very well in terms of his engaging with the customers and saying their
40:01names actually saying which one of the key yeah when you that was it was quite clever that when we
40:06said thank you for the order and all that oh they got some orders did they oh yeah they got
40:10some orders
40:11yeah um i was extremely proud of dan for putting himself out of his comfort zone almost and really
40:15applying himself he exceeded probably all of our expectations oh there you go compliments there
40:21dan that's very kind compliments all right um moving on we've got uh kieran on the uh yoga mat
40:28yoga mat and that i mean i've got to tell you that was painful my friend painful did you say
40:35i'll do that
40:36one i said i i i would do that one um but i also offered to take a high-end
40:43it looked like a thick
40:44doormat to me yeah as yoga mats go it wasn't bad yeah can i just add lord sugar i expected
40:51that the
40:51boys would probably pick an item that they were personally really confident selling kieran's great
40:55at selling so i was pretty shocked that he was just going to be selling the mats but then he
40:59was confident
41:00he could sell them in large quantity okay well moving on we went to the most unusual item the shoe
41:08dryer uh which levi uh took the role that's right lord sugar yeah that's correct i mean it's an unusual
41:15item in fact i bought one from my wife for christmas so she's going to be delighted when she opens
41:23it up
41:24so i think she's going to throw that straight back at you yeah i mean you're putting shoes on the
41:29wrong way around pouring water in trainers um to be fair lord sugar and then um butch cassidy here comes
41:37running in at the end uh to help you out you know it were quite hard to get me bearings
41:43to be fair lord
41:43sugar it were in in gallery it sounded like somebody ate the microphone and uh people just shouting and
41:51then yeah it would it would hard to concentrate try and get a point across whilst getting loading the
41:55ear hmm right okay well um it's that time now let's have a look and see how we did shall

42:11thing you should know about tv selling is that you may have expectations of what you think you sold but
42:19as you know people change their minds right so i've now got the real confirmed figures from the
42:27shopping channel so tim can you tell me the final results of your team well you mentioned a number
42:34of sales have been made but unfortunately not all of those sales went through including the one high
42:39priced item of the core crusher that was almost sold but somebody pulled out but they still managed to
42:46sell 18 products giving them a total sales on the day of 773 pounds and 82 pounds well done everyone
42:54right okay good karen same question how did your team get on well unfortunately not all of their sales
43:02went through either um including one of the high priced headphones um and their highest priced item alan the
43:11ring you know they didn't sell any of those at all um but they did still manage to sell 40
43:18items
43:19across the hour totaling 893 pounds and 60 pence right well done team alpha your first time as a project
43:31manager and you pulled it through yeah okay make your way back to the house i'll see you on the

44:35one of the things that i did say in strategy is like bringing high energy was great but i think
44:39ultimately what you two failed to do was to harness it in the correct way we sold me
44:44yeah and i accept i didn't you guys only sold two units each i had a roll up bit of
44:47phone mate
44:48connor sold nothing kieran didn't sell a lot and he's supposed to be an amazing salesperson and quite
44:52frankly i don't really know what levi is good at other than being a great guy the one person i
44:56will
44:56be disappointed in kieran is you i have to say i've worked with you and i thought you're great
45:00when you're presenting i honestly thought you you'd do a bit better just because we found the task for
45:03lack of instruction and no sales kieran loves to deflect and he loves to say he can't do something at
45:08the last moment he said he'd take a high ticket item just as we were heading out the door as
45:12he
45:12sounded enthusiastic about the yoga mat i gave it to him then he said maybe not i can't do yoga
45:16the reality is is that we didn't make enough sales it's down to selling i mean myself and rothler sold
45:20the
45:20most and i know it wasn't loads but we sold high ticketed items and sold multiple of them i would
45:25have
45:25thought with lower ticketed items we could have sold a few more the failure in this task lies with
45:29project manager connor and kieran the polar opposites they don't work well together in it and it showed
45:46in this task yes would you send the candidates in please
46:02well uh you lot lost by 120 pounds which
46:09it's not a lot of money now alpha sold 40 products
46:14and you sold 18 only so connor the core machine that you demonstrated the last time the professional
46:23presenter did it they sold 55 yeah so so my plan with the core circuit yoga was to to target

46:31the older or maybe new to fitness and then the more experienced user of fitness like myself i demonstrated
46:37as someone who's maybe avid in fitness and wants to use it to enhance their workouts maybe after a cardio
46:41session i think it implied you had to be very fit to use it yeah um anybody i'm not surprised

46:47were sweating because you hadn't sold any yeah definitely i did give it my all it did give my
46:51energy and i hold my hands up i'm disappointed as pm that i didn't sell one item i mean dan

46:56in it looked like you called in a bloke from from it you know now then um rothner and dan
47:05that the bracelets um you only sold three they usually sell 21 in that slot i am disappointed
47:14that we only ended up selling three of them i did really believe in the product and i hoped it

47:18across if you'd have got the ring and sold three of them yeah like you sold three of the bracelets

47:23would have won so we didn't go why don't you get the ring we we thought maybe connor might find

47:28ring a bit too expensive he was quite clear about asking for a mid-range item but me he did

47:33know when i asked for numbers in the brainstorming didn't give any numbers the mid-range my mid-range
47:37could be very different to your mid-range your role was to pick deal of the day so what what
47:41she's trying to say is that it was left to our own devices to pick what we thought was the
47:45most
47:45sensible item that we could sell on tv but that's what that's why you replaced and you picked the
47:49cheapest yeah um now moving on the yoga mat this company has sold 390 in the last session you sold
48:01six and you say you are a um super salesman exactly i'm a salesman yeah absolutely um we didn't sell
48:09many did you so i did offer to swap the high-end item i was told no were you not
48:15extremely enthusiastic
48:16about the yoga mat i said i could take i wasn't mate i've done the set ups i've done a
48:20few press
48:20ups exactly i was levi come in to perform on the mat right at the end you should have sent
48:25him in
48:25early it were a bit painful to watch so i looked at galleries you were painful to watch my friend
48:30you were really painful to watch all the way around including the shoe dryer thing i mean what a
48:36bloody product that is and you know what they usually sell 300 in a session 300 i've never heard of
48:43it
48:43and you sold three i did try to explain about the shoe drying properties but when i had somebody
48:48like team shouting in my ears i had kieran walking towards me were very distracted for me well one of
48:55the comments from a viewer was that this is a joke i'm flabbergasted i can't watch it anymore
49:00they tuned out right and i have to say i was flabbergasted also i think it was diabolical
49:06i do believe that um on reflection it is um
49:14it's actually time i've i've won most at task lord sugar well no you didn't win them you didn't
49:19win them you didn't you was on winning teams so so you know what um levi um it is with

50:27i can see why you made a decision to exit levi from the process yeah i mean on this particular

50:34it was the worst tv selling i've ever seen in this whole process the worst painful anyway kieran i mean
50:42he's a chirpy chappy he chirped a lot but he didn't make the sales the important thing on this task

50:48to convert the products to something that the audience wanted and unfortunately he made such a
50:53hash of that mat nobody bought anywhere near the numbers that you said you got from the channel
50:58themselves then the man obviously they sold three bracelets had they instead of chosen the ring and
51:05sold three rings they would have won i mean he was with rothner when they picked it maybe they didn't
51:10engage the buyers as well as they could have um connor well connor's a great talker he emphasized
51:17his ability in front of the camera but he wasn't that good behind the camera unfortunately a lot
51:22of this does rest on his shoulders could you stand the three of them in please
51:38so on this task connor you were the project manager you've been a project manager twice
51:45right and regretfully you lost twice why have you brought these two back in then um when i made my
51:54selection i reviewed the entire process that we've made it here um when it comes to kieran in fairness
51:59to kieran kieran has grabbed the bull by the horns and he's really applied himself but at times he's
52:03being called difficult to work with and disruptive so in terms of looking for your next apprentice i
52:07just don't know if he would be the correct candidate everyone works with people differently correct yeah
52:12and that's that's not my decision to make but that's just my perspective when it came to dan
52:16dan was slow to get into the process and maybe didn't apply himself every week to the extent that
52:22me personally has well i mean this was a selling task um myself i sold 300 pounds worth of stuff
52:27they sold 60 pounds between both and i think throughout the whole of this process i know
52:30it took me a little while to settle into it but this has been a big learning curve for myself
52:34i've
52:34developed a lot of skills i've learned how to work with people but i wouldn't necessarily usually work
52:38with and i think i've really grown in this process in terms of becoming a better business
52:41business person for yourself lord sugar hmm kieran super salesman sold six been on the losing side
52:50five times yes lord sugar i've put myself forward for a lot of things i haven't shied away
52:57i've give everything my all some it's the team effort not just an individual effort so where i might
53:02have small wins the team may not always win hmm right well here we have a dilemma really i have
53:10to make
53:10a decision lord sugar if i may yes i've been project manager twice on the same task and you won
53:18once
53:19by default arguably a one a win yeah yeah if i stay in this process i would like to be
53:26the project
53:26manager on task 10 to prove to you what i can do if i lose we shake hands i walk
53:31out all right that's very
53:34interesting anybody else want to make that offer uh i don't feel the need to you can i can if
53:40i want
53:40to i felt that i over the last eight tasks i don't need another task to prove myself i have
53:45given myself
53:46one you lost you know you've lost five you've been in the losing team five times correct and every time
53:51within those tasks the project manager has usually always had a very specific role that they've wanted
53:55me to excel in and at numerous times within this process i have excelled i don't need a 10th task

54:00beg you to to take me you don't i don't i don't think i do what about you dan i
54:07feel like over the
54:08past nine tasks i've really kind of proven myself in many different ways um i i do believe that
54:14ultimately you've got to decide who you want to go into business with i know that i've only ever worked
54:17for myself i'm an entrepreneur through and through that's all i know and the industry that i'm in i know
54:21it so well so it's whether you think there's great potential with my business that i've got and if
54:26it's something you want to join me on the journey with hmm i have observed you over the past nine
54:32weeks um then you're going to remain in this process okay thank you lord sugar um this leaves me you
54:47too
54:53and yeah
55:02at this stage connor it's been very nice to uh meet you and be associated with you
55:08but i have to think about a kind of a gut feeling okay so you're fired thank you so much
