01:04When playing, I frequently find myself wonderfully lost,
01:07aimlessly wandering the halls of Hogwarts and curious what I'll discover next.
01:11To celebrate Back to Hogwarts, we've brought a fresh look at a few iconic locations within the castle.
01:17Being as I'm a Slytherin, let's start with the secret entrance to our common room,
01:21hidden behind the Slytherin arch of a stone serpent.
01:27A dark yet warm dungeon located deep within Hogwarts,
01:30the Slytherin common room windows look out onto the Black Lake's murky depths.
01:35Just don't tap the glass.
01:36Next, we'll head to the Portrait of the Fat Lady,
01:39behind which sits the common room of House Gryffindor.
01:41Set in one of the tallest towers of Hogwarts,
01:43we wanted to keep the lavish Gryffindor common room iconic to what fans are familiar with,
01:48but with specific features like the entrance tunnel described in the books.
01:51Those of clever mind can ascend one of Hogwarts' other tallest towers,
01:55speaking the answer to a riddle, and enter the Ravenclaw common room.
01:58Ravenclaw's love of knowledge and creativity, music, and the arts
02:01is reflected throughout the brightly lit space, adorned with carved wood and stone.
02:06And last, but certainly not least,
02:08we'll go down past the kitchens to the not-often-seen Hufflepuff common room.
02:13Perhaps the coziest of the common rooms, the skylight allows natural sunlight
02:16to filter down into the Hufflepuff's burrow-like space
02:20to maintain a balance of bright earthiness.
02:23While Hogwarts may be huge on its own,
02:25Hogwarts Legacy will take players on an open-world journey beyond the castle walls.
02:31But that doesn't mean there aren't more references and familiar places to discover.
02:34From Hogsmeade Village to the Forbidden Forest and even areas beyond the Black Lake,
02:39there's plenty to explore.
02:41And it's not just by chance we're near Hagrid's Magical Creatures motorbike adventure.
02:46The Avalanche team looked to all corners of the Wizarding World for inspiration,
02:50including this ride.
02:52One of Hogwarts Legacy's side quests will take you to these castle ruins,
02:55and there are many more references like it for Astute fans to pick up on throughout the game.
