00:00Hey, Mina Kimes, Chase Daniel, Adam Schefter with you for the full hour today.
00:03And just when you thought the free agency madness was over, Adam continues to break news.
00:08What's the latest on Justin Fields, Adam?
00:12Laura, it's never over, and today the New York Jets traded Justin Fields.
00:16It's March 16th. Let's just have a little fun.
00:18We're going to use this to determine which teams had the best signings last week.
00:22This is our bracket. Chase, you were up first.
00:25With the 49ers versus the Patriots, which one did you like more in free agency?
00:29Yeah. And that plays into what we're doing here, okay?
00:32With NCAA brackets being released today, we continue with our free agency bracket
00:37determining who had the best signings last week, and you can include what's happened today.
00:41All right, Chase, we're down to our final four.
00:4349ers, Chiefs, who wins in free agency?
00:46Welcome back to NFL Live.
00:48We're debuting a weekly series that's going to be a lot of fun,
00:51spotlighting stories from one of the NFL's rarest and most prestigious groups,
00:55those who've reached the end zone on the biggest stage, the Super Bowl.
00:59ESPN will showcase 61 players ahead of our Super Bowl 61,
01:03and today's edition features none other than Steelers legend James Harrison.
01:10One of the one piece they needed to solidify.
01:13Explosive pass plays, and it's really the part of their offense that I would tell you.
01:17To the Jets at 16, that wouldn't be the first time the Jets have gone Alabama quarterback at 16.
01:22They did that with Joe Namath.
01:23They did that with Richard Todd.
01:25Now we wait to see if they do it with Ty Simpson as well.
01:28You know, a lot of the conversation around the lack of starts, I get it.
01:31But one number that I think really tells the story.
01:33Great.
01:34So typically, top backs have gone right in that spot.
01:37Lewis, you got any issues with Jeremiah Love being too high of a pick at number four?
01:44No, zero, zilch, nine.
01:48The guy has a big play, he's a big play machine.
01:51I mean, he just is.
01:52And look, the backs that you're talking about.
01:54The way that the NFL is looking at running backs, using and valuing those weapons,
02:00those offensive weapons, is not the way it used to be.
02:04And so just recalibrating the way that we think about these players,
02:08it's more than we're just handing them the ball on first down and hopefully it works.
02:12Yeah, Adam, that's well said by Dan.
02:14I think the point, too, about Robert Sala having to be on the defensive side
02:18for the 49ers all the time, dealing with McCaffrey in practice.
02:20Because everyone's a defensive head coach.
02:21You know, he's going to want to be like, well, no.
02:23Like, how do you stop that guy?
02:24Yeah, yeah, yeah.
02:24Go ahead, Adam.
02:27Well, I think of it on the other way.
02:29I think of it, Robert Sala with the defensive background,
02:32with a defense that does need a lot of help, that has a lot of holes,
02:35with some outstanding pass rushers in this draft.
02:39And that's where I think in the league make.
02:41So, really, if you've identified a great player that's a pass rusher,
02:44that's where the value is.
02:46Not running back as great as Jeremiah Love is.
02:49Yeah.
02:49No, it's a good point.
02:50Adam always reminding us of the value here.
02:53Time for one more thing before we go.
02:54Time for one more thing before we go.
02:54Time for one more thing before we go.
