00:00Now the NFL can get their hands on them a little bit, do more training,
00:03try to keep more –
00:04We need to dive in on what all of this means,
00:05but some more news out of Jets camp today.
00:07What more do we know?
00:08We are thrilled to welcome in Tim Hasselbeck and E.J. Manuel today.
00:12Tim, we're going to start with you.
00:14How big of an impact do you see Bailey and his fellow rookies making in New York?
00:20I think it's a good rookie class for the Jets during their season
00:24in terms of just snap totals and impact.
00:27Yeah, it does feel like these guys are set up to have an instant impact.
00:30E.J., the Jets grabbed Kenyon Sadiq, the tight end out of Oregon.
00:33How do you see him fitting –
00:35Jets offense for this year and beyond in the future?
00:37Yeah, I love that you say that.
00:38When they got Sadiq, we're like, wait, they got Sadiq too?
00:41I mean, they already were doing so much –
00:45Yeah, Laura, it's Dante Moore out of Oregon.
00:47And really, Dante Moore had a Heisman Trophy too.
00:49Yeah, you know, when you talk about this, it's like, okay, obviously, Tim,
00:52we're saying they're going to be picking early in the 2027 draft,
00:55which is maybe not something the Jets fans really want to hear,
00:57but it may be part of the reality.
00:59I do realize on paper, it seems like the improvements they've made to this roster look pretty good.
01:04Do you think this would be a good roster for a young quarterback to join?
01:09This season, and they're probably revisiting it.
01:11We're talking about a new quarterback being their starter a year from now.
01:17Yeah, and Tim, you know, you are glad to see him go back to the Jets
01:20to see how he finishes up his career there.
01:22But if you don't get Dante Moore, you got C.J. Carr, Sam Levitt.
01:25Looking on getting these young guys up to speed, but he also has his hands full at quarterback.
01:28E.J., do you see Tua making a case for that QB1 spot there?
01:32Option for him.
01:33That's a good point about what could be more comfortable for him, right?
01:36And, Tim, some of this feels like shades of Cleveland for Stefanski,
01:40like no bona fide QB1 right now.
01:42Do you agree that it's –
01:43Penix, injury concerns with Tua.
01:45And I think when you look at Stefanski and his, you know, time,
01:48I think when I look at it, you could end up playing Trevor Simeon real fast
01:53with the way the quarterback, you know, room is lining up in Atlanta.
01:57Yeah, I don't know.
01:58Michael Penix Jr. got married recently, and he was kind of getting down at his wedding.
02:02So it looked like he felt pretty good.
02:03But I realize that's not playing football.
02:05It's also Kevin Stefanski's birthday.
02:07All he wants for his birthday is a quarterback.
02:08We're just getting started on NFL Live.
02:10All right, we've got a lot more coming your way today on NFL Live.
02:13Happy Friday to everybody.
02:14And Sam Schefter is known for a lot of things,
02:17most notably his great ability to break news.
02:19But he's also in part responsible for launching one of the most famous nicknames
02:24in the NFL for a fan base, probably more popular than any other in the league.
02:28Schefter has the origin story behind Bill's Mafia.
02:33Add his name to that list of rookie head coaches that make it to the Super Bowl.
02:40Yeah, well, Laura, he absolutely will be.
02:42And the last coach – oh, okay.
02:44Go ahead, Tim.
02:45I'm bad.
02:46Go ahead, EJ.
02:47Go ahead.
02:47Go ahead, EJ.
02:48I'm going to just let you all figure it out.
02:50EJ, you go.
02:50So, my bad.
02:51I jumped in, guys.
02:52I got excited.
02:53I got excited.
02:53So, here's the thing.
02:54The last rookie coach to do –
02:56and now I just don't think the team is as good as it was a few years ago
03:00when you look at the roster top to bottom.
03:03One thing about the Bill's Mafia –
03:04because I was around –
03:05I was drafted around that time when, you know, the social media stuff was getting –
03:08They're one of the best fan bases.
03:09Being in that parking lot there, which, by the way,
03:11all that's still going to be in place even with the new stadium.
03:13This is the first time Buffalo hasn't entered the season.
03:16It's defending AFC East champs since 2020.
03:18That was Josh Allen's third point that he made.
03:21We were kind of wondering, like, when's anybody going to sign Jawan Jennings?
03:24Because I think if you have him on your team, you really like him.
03:27If he's on another team, you may not like him as much.
03:29EJ, do you like the Jennings signing in Minnesota?
03:32So, then it makes you think, well,
03:33who in the world is going to be throwing the ball to him, right?
03:36The next big question is who's throwing to that trio of wideouts next season.
03:39Reminder, they brought in Kyler Murray to compete with J.J. McCarthy.
03:42What do we know, Jeremy?
03:44Well, I'm told that Kyler Murray has handled himself like an alpha.
03:47Think about the fact that there was a time not that long ago
03:50that they had Super Bowl champion winning quarterback Sam Darnold in the fold.
03:54And now.
