NCsoft e Carbine Studios hanno rilasciato un nuovo videodiario per l'MMO WildStar, incentrato in particolare sul PvP e sullo svolgimento di questo all'interno delle varie modalità e ambientazioni.
Si parà dunque di Arene e Battleground, le aree interamente dedicate agli scontri tra i giocatori all'interno del nuovo MMO Carbine. Nel video sono visibili alcune sezioni di gioco che forniscono esempi pratici dello svolgimento degli scontri in PvP, mostrando le varie ambientazioni disponibili appositamente per questa pratica e la meccanica di gioco in questi frangenti, con tanto di commenti e spiegazioni dettagliate da parte degli sviluppatori.

00:34we're going to dive right into two of Wildstar's biggest PvP experiences.
00:39Arenas and Battlegrounds.
00:42To start with, you can play in either open or rated mode.
00:45They'll both reward you with PvP vendor currency called Prestige.
00:50But rated matches give you rating-specific rewards
00:52and allow for true ELO matchmaking.
00:55ELO is a measure of your strength,
00:57calculated from your performance in rated PvP.
01:01Now I think we can all agree.
01:02Good PvP isn't about raffle stomping your competition.
01:06That's why, unless you're level capped,
01:08we normalize levels and gear stats.
01:12So these guys don't get paired up with these guys.
01:16Balanced matches let you focus on what's really important.
01:20Skill.
01:21In other words, the telegraph system.
01:24Simply put, you physically aim your abilities.
01:28Enemies aim their attacks as well, forcing you to react and avoid.
01:33Now see you in full speed.
01:35Telegraphs were made for PvP.
01:37Because of them, combat is fast-paced, crazy reactive, and straight-up fun.
01:41And it works very interestingly in our maps.
01:44We've also put a little twist on our match types.
01:47Like giving arena teams a shared pool of respawns.
01:51or battleground adjustments like multiple capture objectives
01:54and secondary control points.
01:58Basically, we're big fans of PvP.
02:00Be it a casual way to blow off steam or a serious competition.
