God is with you anxiety message is for anyone who feels like peace keeps slipping through their hands. When your mind is noisy, when fear feels close, and when shame keeps telling you that you should be stronger than this, this video meets that pain with truth and compassion.

There are hidden struggles that wear people down from the inside. You can be surrounded by people and still feel trapped in your own thoughts. You can love God and still feel mentally tired. You can pray and still have hard days. None of that means you are failing. None of that means God has backed away. This message was created to remind you that the Lord stays near in the very moments where you feel the most fragile.

Douglas Vandergraph brings a calm but powerful Christian word for those walking through anxiety, overthinking, spiritual fatigue, emotional overload, and unseen pressure. This is not shallow encouragement. It is a faith-based reminder that God’s love is stronger than fear, stronger than shame, and stronger than the voice telling you that you should have this all figured out by now.

00:01So this morning I sit down and I'm thinking about what to talk about and
00:06yesterday's video is still running through my mind. You know and it's a great
00:12concept because you know when your mind starts to feel hard to manage one of the
00:17worst things that can happen is the voice that comes right after it. You know
00:23the voice. The one that says you should be handling this better. It says you
00:29should be stronger than this. It says you should be calmer than this and it says
00:35if your faith were real you would not be struggling like this. You know what?
00:42That's a bunch of crap. That voice can hurt just as much as the battle in your
00:47mind because now you're not only fighting your own thoughts you're also fighting
00:54shame. But that is not how God talks to you. You see God does not look at you in
01:02a hard moment and say you should have done better. He does not stand over you
01:08when you're tired and overwhelmed and tell you to be more impressive. He doesn't
01:14shame you for being a human being. He doesn't leave you because your thoughts
01:20feel messy. You see God is not scared of your struggle. He's not shocked by your
01:27weakness and he's not pushed away by your pain. You see our God he comes near and a
01:37lot of people think that faith means always feeling strong. They think faith
01:42means always being peaceful always having control always knowing what to say and
01:47always staying steady. But that's not real life. Real faith
01:54is not always loud. And you know what? It's not always confident either.
02:00Sometimes real faith is very quiet. Sometimes real faith is just saying
02:07God please help me. I say that all the time. And you know sometimes real faith is
02:15just crying and still turning toward God. Sometimes real faith is
02:21feeling weak and still believing that he has not left you because he has not left
02:28you. And that matters. Because many people feel guilty for
02:34having a hard time in their own mind. They think the struggle itself means they are
02:40failing. They think fear means they are broken. Sometimes they think emotional
02:46pain means that they're doing something wrong. Have you ever felt that way?
02:53Well, I want you to know that pain is not proof that God is absent.
02:59A hard season is not proof that your faith is fake.
03:05Sometimes it just means you're carrying too much. Sometimes it means you're tired.
03:11It means that life has hit you hard. Hey, life hits all of us hard sometimes.
03:17And it means you need care, not judgment.
03:24I want you to come with me for a moment and think about Elijah in the Bible.
03:29He was a man of great faith. He saw God do amazing things.
03:35He stood strong in huge moments. But then he hit a wall.
03:42He became afraid. He became exhausted and he wanted to run away.
03:48He wanted to give up. And what did God do?
03:53God didn't shame him. God let him rest. God gave him food and cared for him.
04:02That tells us something very important. God knows how to deal with a tired soul.
04:10He knows how to be gentle with someone who has reached their limit.
04:16Maybe that's where you are right now. Maybe your mind feels loud.
04:23Maybe your thoughts feel hard to hold. Maybe you keep telling yourself that you should be better than this by
04:30now.
04:32And now you feel embarrassed by how hard it's been.
04:36But I want you to listen to me carefully.
04:39You do not need to be ashamed of being in a hard place.
04:54You see, the enemy loves to use moments like this. He loves to whisper lies when you already feel weak.
05:02He wants to tell you that your struggle is your identity.
05:05He wants to tell you that your thoughts define you.
05:10He wants to tell you that God is disappointed in you.
05:14And he wants you to believe that one hard season means you're falling apart for good.
05:21But the devil is a liar.
05:24A hard moment is not your whole story.
05:27A painful thought is not your identity and fear is not your name.
05:33Struggle is not the end for you.
05:36You have to learn the difference between what you feel and what is true.
05:43What you feel matters. It is real and should not be ignored.
05:50But it's not always the full truth.
05:54You see, thoughts are not prophecy.
05:57You may feel alone, but God is with you.
06:01You may feel weak, but God is still your strength.
06:05You may feel like your mind is slipping, but God is still steady.
06:11And you may feel like you should be stronger than this.
06:15But God is not asking you to save yourself with your own strength.
06:21He's asking you to come to him.
06:25Jesus said, come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
06:32He did not say, come to me once you get your thoughts under control.
06:37He didn't say, come to me once you stop struggling.
06:41He said, come when you are weary.
06:45Come when life feels heavy.
06:48Come when your heart is tired and come when your mind is full.
06:54Come as you are.
06:56And that's good news, because some people think they have to clean themselves up before they can come close to
07:03God.
07:04They think they need to be calm first, strong first, peaceful first, without sin.
07:11But if that were true, none of us would ever come to God.
07:16You see, God meets people in the middle of their mess.
07:20He meets people in fear.
07:22He meets them in grief and confusion.
07:26He meets them in weakness.
07:28He meets us right in the place where we feel the most fragile.
07:35So what do you do when your thoughts feel too loud?
07:39God, first, stop attacking yourself.
07:43Now that may sound simple, but I'm going to tell you right now, it matters.
07:47Stop adding shame to pain.
07:50Stop speaking to yourself like you are your own enemy.
07:54If you would not say it to someone you love, do not keep saying it to yourself.
08:01Because God is not asking you to punish yourself into peace.
08:06He's asking you to let him care for you.
08:10Second, tell God the truth.
08:14You don't need fancy words.
08:16You don't need some perfect prayer.
08:19Just tell him what is real.
08:22Lord, my mind feels crowded.
08:26Lord, I'm scared.
08:29Lord, I feel like I'm losing my grip.
08:34Lord, I need you.
08:37And you know, honest prayer is powerful.
08:40God is not looking for a performance.
08:43He's looking for your real heart.
08:49Third, I want you to remember that not every thought deserves your trust.
08:55Just because something enters your mind does not mean it speaks for you.
08:59Just because a thought is loud does not mean that it's true.
09:04Just because it scares you does not mean it defines you.
09:11Thoughts can pass through your mind without owning you.
09:14You belong to God.
09:16Not to every fearful thought that decides to show up.
09:22Fourth, let yourself receive help.
09:26You know, sometimes people think needing help means they are weak.
09:31That is not true.
09:35We all need help.
09:38And God often works through people.
09:41He works through prayer, yes.
09:43But he also works through wise friends.
09:47He works through rest.
09:48He works through support.
09:53He works through honesty.
09:55And hear me.
09:57There is no shame in reaching for help when you need it.
10:03And here is something I really want you to hear.
10:08Feeling unstable does not mean you are failing God.
10:11It means you are a human being.
10:15Even strong people have breaking points.
10:19Even faithful people have dark nights.
10:22Even people who love can feel overwhelmed.
10:29The Bible is full of people who struggled deeply.
10:33David struggled.
10:35Elijah struggled.
10:37Job struggled.
10:39Paul struggled.
10:42In the Garden of Gethsemane, the Son of God,
10:48the most powerful human being ever to live on planet Earth, struggled.
10:55And the struggle did not prove that God had left them.
10:59It proved they were human beings who needed him.
11:04And sometimes we think strength looks like never shaking.
11:09But sometimes real strength is staying with God while you shake.
11:15Sometimes real strength is making it through just one more day.
11:20Sometimes real strength is refusing to believe that your worst moments gets to tell your whole story, the whole story
11:38of your life.
11:40It does not.
11:43And I believe that is where some of you are right now.
11:46And may God bless you.
11:48You have believed the lie that because your mind has been hard to manage, you must be doing badly in
11:57your walk with God.
11:59But maybe the truth is that you are in a battle.
12:03And the fact that you are still turning toward him means more than you know.
12:10Maybe the truth is that your faith is not gone.
12:15Maybe you are just tired.
12:18Maybe you are just wounded.
12:25Maybe you are not weak in the way you think.
12:28And maybe actually showing up in the bravest way possible by still reaching for God is the answer.
12:40You do not need to be perfect for God to stay close to him or for him to stay close
12:48to you.
12:49You do not need to be calm for God to care for you.
12:53You do not need to hide your struggle for God to love you.
13:10So, if your thoughts have felt hard to control lately, and another voice has been telling you that you should
13:19be stronger than this, answer that lie with truth.
13:25Tell yourself, this is just a hard moment, but it's not the end of me.
13:31Tell yourself, God is still with me.
13:34Tell yourself, I am still loved.
13:37Tell yourself, I do not need to be ashamed of needing help.
13:42Tell yourself, weakness is not the same thing as failure.
13:48And most of all, I want you to remember this, my friends.
13:54God is not standing far away from you, waiting for you to get stronger before he comes near.
14:02He is already near.
14:05He is with you in the noise, in the fear.
14:09He is with you in the mental battle.
14:13He is with you in the questions and every single tear.
14:18He is with you in the moment when you do not feel like yourself.
14:25He is still with you.
14:27So, let's do this.
14:30Breathe.
14:32Slow down.
14:34Stop judging yourself so harshly.
14:38Bring the real pain to God.
14:41Bring the real fear to God.
14:45Bring the real thoughts to God and let Him meet you there.
14:51Because the moment you start feeling like your thoughts are slipping beyond your control.
14:56It's not the moment God gives up on you.
14:59It may be the very moment His mercy comes closest.
15:04It may be the moment He reminds you that you were never meant to carry all of this alone.
15:11It may be the moment He shows you that His love is stronger than your fear, stronger than your shame,
15:19and stronger than the voice that says,
15:22You should be more than human.
15:24You are human.
15:27You are loved.
15:29And God, God is still holding you.
15:36Don't forget that.
15:38My name is Douglas Vandergraaf, and I believe in Jesus Christ.
15:43God bless you, my friends.
15:46Every single one of you.
15:49Including the ones who feel like they're failing right now.
15:53You're not failing.
15:55You're going to be okay.
15:57I believe in you, and most importantly, God still believes in you.
16:06Bye-bye.
