00:00and man kenneth walker is an absolute dog um kenneth walker was irked uh with the sea hack
00:06this sea hacks sea hacks and sam darnold uh with the seahawks right before he was uh he left
00:13uh he was privately irked according to a source according to greg bell of the news tribune
00:19that he had to share running back job with zach charbonnet he did not like it especially
00:26because it was a free it was a uh contract season and i've always said
00:32there are three motivating factors for athletes one fun babies and again these are not in any
00:38particular order because each one of them can uh be motivated by certain things fun babies children
00:44are expensive guys right contract season now contract season can go with fun babies all right
00:50but doesn't always go with fun babies then revenge if you get your chance to to show an old team
00:57or maybe there was something that happened in college those three things are the greatest
01:03motivators for all athletes out there and kenneth walker was motivated to get that 45 million dollar
01:10contract with kansas city where he should be the number one running back in their backfield
01:15and kind of have all that to himself now i wonder if he's like no no i'm willing to share
01:21now yeah
01:21now that i got my money cool yeah or if he's like no no i always want to be i
01:26want to be an emmett
01:27smith kind of guy where i am the lead dog and y'all give me the ball now during that
01:32run charbonnet
01:33and and walker talked maybe and maybe they do like each other but they were like that's my brother we
01:40were you know we're in this together when i saw him go down charbonnet you know got injured
01:44last season when i saw him go down he knew i guess kenneth walker was like now it's my time
01:49i'm about to make my money by going out and performing in this super bowl and so that was
01:55a smart play on his part but that dude is an absolute dog over the weekend had an opportunity
02:00to auction off uh autographed football from him oh he went for a thousand dollars so that was pretty
02:05awesome uh kenneth walker autographed football that was nice and a donation to junior players so
02:11that's nice to see as well beautiful um the big thing that we saw yesterday happen in the news of
02:18the world kc concepcion underwent a knee scope described as routine and preventative uh cowboys
02:25team of physician daniel cooper performed the scope last week concepcion projected by many as a first
02:31round pick is expected to be 100 for rookie camp do you think that this little routine procedure
02:39is going to have any effect on his draft status no outside of the fact that now we know the
02:45ravens
02:45won't pick him because dan cooper had something to do with it and so they have the medicals on him
02:50so yeah we know that he's not going to be a baltimore raven but no i don't think it changes
02:56anything
02:56it's just it's always going to spur conversation especially from a skill position and you're talking
03:02about a knee everybody's going to be like it wasn't really preventative or were they fixing
03:08something that they just don't want to talk about you know i always whenever i i think of situations
03:13like this i go back to a few years ago in the draft process with uh trayvon marig the safety
03:20out of tcu
03:20where nobody really thought anything was going on with him and then he's running at his pro day
03:26and his shirt kind of lifts up in the wind a little bit and he's got his back taped up
03:31and everybody's like what's going on there and then the truth gets out where he's like
03:36okay i didn't give it my all because my back is bothering me and he ended up going a lot
03:41lower
03:42than i thought he was going to at first a lot of people were like he could go day one
03:45and then he kept sliding and sliding and then you hear right before he gets picked medical flag
03:50and it's like okay they were hiding something so people will see stories like that and they'll get
03:57a little bit worried like are we getting the full truth here but in this case it seems like it's
04:03just purely a cleanup and getting it at this phase where they're like oh no he'll be good for rookie
04:07mini camp which rookie mini camp happens like right after the draft yeah so if he's going to be good
04:12to
04:12go full speed for that i don't think teams even blank twice because he's that good when we we you
04:18know
04:18we were talking about would we take him i'm not sure i'd take him at 12 no uh obviously the
04:24cowboys
04:25if they sign pickens they don't need him at 20 um somebody really wanted to trade up to get him
04:30you know they could sure you see him in the lower part uh of this draft like the behind the
04:3620 pick
04:37somewhere yeah for sure i he's one of those i wouldn't have a first round grade on him but i
04:42think
04:43he goes in the first round you know you especially in this class i'd say there's maybe like 16 guys
04:49that
04:49would get first round grades but he would be one of those that he's going to be very fortunate and
04:54land with a playoff team i think because he'll be picked in the 20s where it's like oh of course
04:59you know of course a good team got him my dream scenario because i think he fits what they would
05:05be looking for would be kansas city i think that makes a ton of sense and his name is literally
05:10kc
05:11i think that would just be marketing genius for one but two i think the true fit that we've been
05:15talking about a lot recently with the draft i think that's there as well but yeah he's going
05:20to end up being a-okay he's going to go to a perennial playoff team and he's going to be
05:26a
05:26good player in this league i think he needs to go 26 to the buffalo bills and i did see
05:32jordan
05:33schultz added a note to the jalen waddle trade he said that the bills made a pretty strong push
05:38to get him as well okay okay got outbid so they they might look at this draft and say this
05:44is our only
05:44chance to get a true outside wide receiver one uh at tankathon has uh conception is still going
05:51at 37 to the new york giants now again we watched him love the player love the makeup of the
05:58player
05:58like the the person that he is too uh so we'll keep an eye on it but that was interesting
06:03news to
06:04to roll out yesterday especially after the show was all said and done with now joseph hoyt's uh seven
06:10round mock draft for the cowboys that we kind of started on yesterday we're going to finish this
06:14up a little bit because there are some players we've taken a look at they're kind of pretty
06:18interesting we asked a little bit yesterday about romello height from our expert at texas tech i
06:22didn't ask you though if you'd had a chance to kind of check out romello height but in round one
06:28they take monsoor delaine i think this there's three players that if they're available to you look
06:33if david bailey is available to you yes you'll get him sprint you knock people over on your way up
06:39there to say i'll take that player but here are the guys still i don't think sunny styles is going
06:44to be there anymore at one point i thought he had a chance but his combine was just too freakishly
06:49good
06:49um monsoor delaine and caleb downs i still see downs and delaine kind of noted in those areas
06:57and if they are there you take them you don't even worry about it they're they're players so uh he
07:03has
07:03delaine going to to them at 12 at uh he trades down to get potentially cj allen from georgia
07:10linebacker middle linebacker if you haven't gotten a chance yet go watch baldinger's breakdown on cj allen
07:16he's like dude this guy has so much tape out there to watch and it's all good uh and so
07:21that's the
07:21thing sometimes a player can just be like you're like okay he's gonna be good and you take it for
07:28granted how like he's just gonna fit for you uh jacob rodriguez might be the playmaker that
07:33everybody's most excited about those the two options there uh in round one but a trade down
07:38to 27 with san francisco definitely could put you in a good position to say you know what we can
07:43take
07:43jacob rodriguez here even though i still think it's a little bit of a reach in the second round miami
07:48defensive back keontae scott we saw him ball out in the in all the games that they were playing this
07:54year
07:54in miami and then romello height what were your thoughts on romello height because this is a 25
08:00year old that ran a 4-6-4 and can play uh a lot of good edge linebacker stuff for
08:07you so he's very
08:08athletic uh he's got a really fun spin move uh so he's not just in his pass rush skill set
08:15he's not
08:15just a power guy he's not just a finesse guy like we've talked about with some of the guys even
08:20in the
08:20first round like like keldrick falk is a guy that he's gonna win with power every single time that's
08:25pretty much all he's gonna give you but because of his massive size it works this guy has a little
08:31bit more to offer um he's very lean i want him to put on more weight uh i think he
08:37needs more muscle
08:37mass if he's really gonna thrive as a a pro pass rusher uh but my favorite term that i've come
08:44up
08:44with this uh this offseason for the draft process oily hips he is able to move he's able to stop
08:51on
08:51a dime uh and he's really good at peeling off of blocks too so that's why i wouldn't mind sending
08:57him on blitzes that's why i wouldn't mind him being on uh on the field and running situations as well
09:03because he he can really push and pull off of blocks pretty well um i will say his like post
09:10snap
09:10stuff recognition just overall uh as the play is developing he can get lost a little bit but uh
09:17other than that i like him i just need to put on some weight and i think a lot of
09:22those other things
09:23will kind of fix themselves and you put on weight how i don't know maybe uh what was that uh
09:31was a
09:31mets player that was drinking like 300 eggs or something like do something so some protein shakes
09:37you know like but that's miss met i mean she's she's thick as a bowl of oatmeal from what i'm
09:42what i've heard there you go jacob uh but yeah she probably knows she knows a thing or two uh
09:48the the
09:48the route that she went is probably different than he's gonna go okay yeah but no i i seriously think
09:54an nfl weight training program or just going back to texas tech since they don't want to use anything
09:58under 40 pounds anymore uh but that that could pay off for him but yeah just put on some mass
10:03and i
10:04think you got yourself an edge rusher right there one of the players that i think both of us should
10:08dive in on i don't know that you did while i was out anthony hill jr out of texas linebacker
10:136-2
10:14238 ish um somebody from the 254 said hey could the cowboys possibly take him around 20 or lower
10:21right now in tankathon he's going around 39 and i know broadis was like i think i might like this
10:28guy
10:28more than and he didn't like i we were kind of discussing i was kind of listening he's a good
10:33player uh so i think we should probably take a look at him check him out obviously to you know
10:38the
10:38texas connection there see where see where that is that's definitely a young player uh we could look
10:43into kansas state at round five vj paine safety uh they said they were going to try try to trade
10:50up to
10:51get a t he said trade to trade up to get tcu safety bud clark in the fourth but they
10:55go ahead and take
10:56paine 6-3 ran a 4-4-40 another versatile secondary piece my question to you is are the cowboys
11:06done at safety or is a special player gonna be something they can say no we'll find a fit there
11:15i'd say the latter uh but i i think you can find a fit i don't necessarily think they're
11:20done at safety but i think they're done in terms of impact players you definitely you need some backups
11:26on this team because like i don't want i know that his status is is definitely up in the air
11:32but
11:32like i don't want donovan wilson type play that we got last year behind the guys that you added in
11:40free agency i need i need some young fresh talent and if you want to talk about uh vj paine
11:47a little
11:47bit this is a guy that has a lot of tape you talked about a lot of tape and pretty
11:51much none of it is
11:52bad yeah 42 game starter you know he's got a lot of tape out there he's long he's rangy uh
11:59but he's
12:00got the size that i think you would like if you're going to ask him to play multiple spots
12:04in the defensive backfield uh so he's got the versatility he's really smart like he diagnoses
12:10um closing speed closing speed he's really good against the run um so i think he would be a very
12:17good
12:17backup and a complimentary piece that you can rotate in and you're not going to be scared throwing
12:21him out there uh against nfl offenses so um he might be a little bit passive at times but i
12:29don't
12:29know if that's a detriment i'd he he's literally the opposite of donovan wilson i'm not trying to bury
12:34the guy but like in terms of play style he's a lot more passive he's going to take the the
12:39easier route
12:40he's going to take the smarter route more times than i'm going to lay the boom you know so he
12:45he's
12:45a very sure-minded and smart player that i would like to add at that position so yeah if i'm
12:51looking
12:52for depth then i'm looking in this area of the draft too man what's really interesting too is i'm i'm
12:57starting to see a lot of some of the guys that could be good later in 20 in the second
13:02round and
13:03again i want to figure out how to get a second round pick so i can make a play there
13:06uh but there's
13:07a lot of like take our kicker jacob rodriguez uh at 47 to the colts uh mason thomas our mason
13:13thomas
13:14at 46 to to tampa bay like those would be really good pieces for the cowboys to add uh and
13:20that 44th
13:21pick the cowboys had traded uh to the jets they would take d'angelo pons out of indiana and so
13:27like
13:28there's some love him and then omar cooper's right before him so there's lots of options here uh for the
13:32cowboys later in the second round but they just don't have that pick right now so i would love to
13:37figure something out there but having the two first round picks significant and uh and works
13:41out in the cowboys favor the thing about the safety thing is because i asked are they done at safety
13:46well if caleb downs is there you're like well that's like he's a safety right he can play that
13:51nickel and so he would spend probably most his time there and then uh uh jalen thompson would be one
13:57of
13:57your deeper safeties and but the great thing is let's say you have that situation now you got three
14:04guys out there on the field that can all play a variety of spots you can disguise your defense
14:10even more uh because you can move jalen thompson down with caleb downs and now you're showing bliss
14:16you're showing all out and then you drop into a you know a dime 20 yards deep you're like what
14:21the
14:21hell just happened and so like there's there's so many different things that you can do so adding
14:26another safety as you said i think what if you were to get downs i think pj lock is a
14:30rotational
14:31safety on the back end and then he's also a really good special teams leader for you so
14:35lots of good i was listening to bobby yesterday on gbag talk about how christian parker wants a
14:42really fleshed out defense like he wants all these details to it and he's looking for pieces that fit
14:46significantly that's why os is not here that's why other players aren't here so what he does want
14:51is very specific so to be able to do that you are going to have to have the bodies to
14:57be able to do
14:57it so maybe a vj pain would be a fit there uh houston tied in tanner koziel not i'm not
15:03really
15:03going to talk about him very much indiana outside linebacker mikhail kamara uh he was a he's a high
15:09motor player makes a lot of plays on both defense and special teams uh so that's a dude right there
15:14didn't he have the block punt the in the national championship game yeah yeah that was returned for
15:19the touchdown so that was nice but you watched landon robinson and i watched landon robinson this
15:24morning and just give me the breakdown on this navy defensive tackle do we need more defensive
15:29tackles can this guy make the roster um i need him to make the roster just because he's going to
15:35be
15:35my pet cat of the draft i he's the most nonsensical and fun player in this draft he's under six
15:42foot he's
15:43five foot eleven and three hundred pounds he's a unit he is a three-time make that three time
15:51uh placement on the freaks list by bruce feldman wow so this dude is absurd when he got to the
15:59navy
16:00academy 240 pounds now 300 pounds he has gotten bigger in their program he's a stud first team all
16:08acc in 2024 after posting uh 61 tackles five and a half tfls and four sacks uh seven quarterback
16:15hurries and two forced fumbles uh but his biggest game of his career came on the biggest stage when
16:22they uh beat their arch rival army um marking a career high 13 tackles and a forced fumble and in
16:29that same game he took a fake punt 29 yards on fourth and five he can run for a 300
16:37pounder he can
16:38run uh but he can jump 33 inches in the vertical and he hit a max speed of 20.1
16:45miles per hour on
16:46the gps he is a freak athlete at 300 pounds this guy is literally like a seventh round pick
16:52maybe maybe even six he's going to be a day three kind of guy but he might be the most
16:57fun watch in
16:59this draft class because he makes zero sense i i love it love the content love the conversation there
17:05and i watched the player and i was like i would absolutely take him in the seventh round if he
17:10was there yes i would absolutely take him in the seventh round if he was available because he could
17:15be a fun player to have
