Transcript
00:00Youth, junior and senior categories will be on show for the opening sequence of the card Road to Glory
00:06and the athletes are expected to feature in round-robin matchups following the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation guidelines.
00:14President of the Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Jason Fraser, is aiming for 15 bouts on the card.
00:20The undefeated Damani Adams is expected to fight and Fraser promises to give him a test.
00:26And Damani has been very, very, very consistent, Trinidad and Tobago. Remember that name. Remember I said Damani Adams. He's
00:34undefeated.
00:36Every single athlete we brought in Trinidad and Tobago for him, he has actually won his fight.
00:43I think Damani right now on our roster has the most international fights.
00:49So I decided, you know, let's take it one step further up. Let's use the Trump flag and bring in
00:55one of his boys for him to actually test him at home.
00:58It will also feature another fighter out of Moruga making his way into the ring with the intention of stopping
01:05his opponent.
01:06Tyrone is another name to look out for Trinidad and Tobago.
01:09Very young, very all-round combat sport athlete. His background is Judo. He represents the country in Judo at a
01:17national level. He represents the country in Sambo.
01:20Joshua James will be in the mix again. Will he stop his opponent in round one?
01:25Well, James live up to his name, the Joker. So you can expect anything from James. James is an exciting
01:31fighter.
01:31He brings that vibe to the arena, to the ring, to the cage. And he is growing. He is maturing.
01:37He is doing well. He won his last fight also.
01:41So I expect James to have a tough fight with his opponent. But as I said again, if we can't
01:47defeat him at home, we can't defeat him at Pan Américans.
01:49We can't defeat him at World Championship. And I believe in giving him good opponents so that we can actually
01:53test our level.
01:54And the main event will feature the return of Jeremy Rampage-Rudolfo. It's his first fight back since receiving a
02:03devastating knockout against the Zidane Ray of Guyana.
02:06Fraser says he wants the rematch and he's been medically cleared to fight.
02:11He's training like a beast. He's training like his. His sign is Leo. He's training like a lion.
02:19He's training like a lion. He's training like a lion. He's training like a lion. He's training like a lion.
02:24He's training like a lion.
02:24So has he gotten a medical checkup to see if everything is good with his coconut?
02:31Yes, definitely. The doctor gave us clearance for him to actually go ahead with the fight.
02:35What's the outcome if he loses this fight? Does that change the rematch status at all?
02:41No, definitely not. You know, Jeremy's committed to actually do at least six fights for the year.
02:46You know, and to see if he can get a return to Pan American Games and the national team and
02:52the world championships.
02:53So at the end of the day, as I always believe, they are amateurs. They have nothing to lose.
02:58Fraser is once again calling on sponsors to get on board for the event titled Road to Glory,
03:03which takes place this Saturday, 7th March, from 6 p.m. at the Woodbrook Youth Facility.
03:09Sergio Dufour, TV6 Sport.
