Moving away from cricket and into the ring...

Where local Mixed Martial Artist took center stage to mark the beginning of a partnership between Military-Led Academic Training Programme (MILAT) and the Trinidad and Tobago Mixed Martial Art Federation. The event which was free to the public saw St. Lucian Deanna Dujon, Samuel Williams and Orlando Charles taking the top spots.

00:10they are capable of under a specialized set of rules.
00:14Organizers say one of the objectives of the competition is to select athletes for the
00:19Pan American and Junior World Championships.
00:22There is no punching to the head, but kicks to the legs were allowed and so two punches
00:27to the body.
00:28The event was run with three tournament brackets for the youths, juniors, and females, along
00:33with a few single match-ups.
00:36Some of the participating clubs included Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Fight Club, Hit Fit South, Peaceful
00:42Warriors, Trini Shinobi Budo, Tobago MMA Warriors, Hit Fit Port of Spain, and Team Elite.
00:51Some of the male champions included Samuel Williams and Orlando Charles.
00:55For the girls, Alyssa Adams and Blue defeated Kayla Gonzalez, but she eventually lost to
01:00Saint Lucien Diana Dujon, who won the tournament.
