00:10all kind of true and perfect praise is due to allah to whom belongs whatsoever lies in the heavens and
00:18whatsoever lies in the earth to him alone shall all praise belong in the hereafter and he is the all
00:27-wise the all-aware
00:30he knows all that goes into the earth and all that comes forth from it and all that comes down
00:37from the heaven and all that goes up to it and he is the ever merciful the great protector
00:44and those who disbelieve say the hour will never come upon us say why not by my lord who knows
00:54the unseen it is bound to come upon you nothing escapes him unobserved
01:00not even so much as an atom's weight in the heavens or in the earth nor is anything there smaller
01:08or greater than that but is recorded in a book revealing the truth and is governed by a plain law
01:16the hour shall come so that he may reward those who believe and do deeds of righteousness
01:22it is they for whom there awaits protection from the consequences of sin and honorable and generous provision
01:32but as to those who strive hard against our revelations seeking to frustrate our plan
01:38it is they who will suffer a harrowing punishment of the worst sort
01:45those who have been given knowledge know that whatever has been revealed to you from your lord
01:51is the very lasting truth
01:53and that it guides to the path of one who is the almighty
01:57the highly praiseworthy in his own right
02:01and those who disbelieve say one to another
02:04shall we show you a man who gives you the important news
02:08that when you are dead and broken up into a complete disintegration
02:13you shall then be raised to a new life
02:18has he forged a lie in the name of Allah
02:20or is he afflicted with madness
02:24neither of the two of course is true
02:27the thing is that those who do not believe in the hereafter
02:32are courting a sure agony
02:35and are steeped in a dismal error
02:39do they not see how they are surrounded on all sides
02:42by the heaven and the earth that lie before and behind them
02:46if we so please
02:48we can make them low and abased in the land
02:52and thus show some signs of the earth
02:55or let some portion of the clouds fall down upon them
02:59showing some heavenly signs
03:01and behold
03:02there is a sign in this
03:04for every penitent servant of God
03:09and certainly we bestowed our gracious favors on David
03:13we said
03:15O you dwellers of the mountains
03:17obey him
03:19and we assigned the birds
03:22and the swift-footed horses their duty
03:26and made the iron soft and pliant for him
03:31we said to him
03:32make full-length coats of mail
03:35to cover the whole body
03:37forging lengths of proper measure
03:39for their smooth working
03:40and we also said to him and his followers
03:44do righteous deeds
03:46I am a keen observer of what you do
03:51and we made such winds
03:53serve Solomon
03:54the blowing of which in the forenoon
03:56and thus help sailing of his ships
03:59was equal to a voyage of a month by the other ships
04:03similarly
04:04its blowing in the afternoon
04:06was also equal to a voyage of a month by them
04:10and we made a spring of molten copper to flow for him
04:15also given into his service
04:17were some of the djins
04:18the wild and rebellious mountain tribes
04:21known as Amalekites
04:23who worked under him as trained craftsmen
04:27by the command of his lord
04:29and we also told them
04:32whoever of them deviated from
04:35and disobeyed our command
04:36that they should obey Solomon
04:38we shall make him suffer the agony of burning
04:42those djins
04:44handy craftsmen
04:45made for him Solomon
04:47whatever he desired
04:49places for worship
04:51and plants and basins
04:53as large as the tanks
04:55and large and heavy cooking pots
04:57well set
04:58and we said
05:00act gratefully
05:02O people of David
05:03yet few are my people
05:06who are really grateful
05:08and when we ordained death for him
05:11the people only came to know of it
05:14through a worthless creature of earth
05:18Solomon's son
05:19that was eating away
05:21his father's staff
05:24so when it fell down
05:26the djinn realized then plainly
05:28that had they known the secret of the hollowness of the kingdom
05:32they would have never remained in a state of humiliating torment
05:37there was indeed a great sign for Sheba in their homeland
05:41they had two gardens
05:43one on the right and one on the left
05:46and we had said to them
05:47eat of the provisions
05:49and enjoy the gifts of your lord
05:52and render him thanks
05:54yours is a happy and beautiful land
05:57and lord
05:58a great protector
06:00but they turned away
06:03thereupon we sent against them
06:06a devastating flood
06:07and we replaced their two excellent gardens
06:11by two other gardens
06:13bearing bitter fruit
06:14and containing tamarisk
06:16and a few nettle shrubs
06:18here and there
06:19that is how we recompense them
06:22because of their ingratitude
06:24it is only the ungrateful
06:27whom we recompense in the like manner
06:30and we had placed between them
06:32the Shebians
06:33and the towns of Syria
06:36which we had blessed
06:38other towns facing each other
06:40and prominently visible
06:41and we had fixed easy journeying stages between them
06:45we said to the people of Sheba
06:48journey through them by night and day
06:51safe and secure
06:53but due to their ingratitude
06:55they wanted as if to say
06:58our lord
06:59make longer the distance
07:01between the stages of our journeys
07:03and they did injustice to themselves
07:06so we reduced them to mere legends
07:10and we broke them into complete disintegration
07:14and scattered them far and wide
07:17behold
07:18there are signs in this
07:20for all those who are patiently persevering
07:23and highly grateful persons
07:27and Iblis found that he judged
07:30regarding them correctly
07:32that he would be successful
07:34in leading the progeny of Adam astray
07:36accepting only a party of true believers
07:39so all the rest of the people followed him
07:43though he, Iblis
07:45had no authority over them
07:48for it is by their own wrong beliefs
07:51and evil deeds
07:52that humankind
07:53brings about their spiritual ruin
07:55it happened thus
07:57so that we might distinguish those
07:59who believed
08:00in the hereafter
08:01from those who were suffering
08:03from doubts about it
08:04indeed your lord
08:06is watchful over
08:08and preserver of everything
08:11say
08:12call on those
08:14whom you take
08:14as gods
08:15besides Allah
08:16they possess
08:18no power
08:18not even so much
08:20as the weight
08:20of an atom
08:21in the heavens
08:22or in the earth
08:23nor do they share
08:25any control
08:26over either of them
08:27nor does he receive
08:29any support
08:29from these false gods
08:32no intercession
08:33will avail with him
08:35except for him
08:36about whom he permits it
08:38those for whom
08:39the intercession
08:40is permitted
08:40will keep waiting
08:42until when their hearts
08:43are relieved of awe
08:44they would ask one another
08:46what is it that your lord said
08:49some of them will reply
08:51he said the truth
08:53and he is the highest
08:55the greatest
08:58say
08:58who provides you
09:00sustenance
09:01from the heavens
09:02and the earth
09:02then tell
09:04none other than Allah
09:07surely we
09:09the believers
09:09are on the right guidance
09:11nonetheless
09:12you
09:13the disbelievers
09:14are engrossed
09:15in evident error
09:18say
09:19you will not
09:20be called upon
09:21to account
09:22for our sins
09:23nor shall we
09:25be called upon
09:25to account
09:26for your doings
09:28say
09:29our lord
09:30will bring us
09:31together
09:31in a battlefield
09:32as opponents
09:33and then he will
09:35judge between us
09:36with truth
09:36for he alone
09:37is the supreme judge
09:38the all knowing
09:40say
09:41show me those beings
09:43whom you
09:43number with him
09:45as his associates
09:46by no means
09:48should you associate
09:49partners with him
09:50for it is
09:51Allah alone
09:52who is the almighty
09:54the all wise
09:56prophet
09:57we have sent you
09:59not but towards
10:00entire humankind
10:02till the end
10:03of time
10:04as a bearer
10:05of glad tidings
10:06and as a warner
10:08but most people
10:10do not know
10:12and they say
10:14tell us
10:15if you speak
10:16the truth
10:16when this promise
10:17will be fulfilled
10:18say
10:19for you
10:20is the appointment
10:21of a day
10:22which you cannot
10:23delay by a single
10:24moment and thus
10:25avoid it
10:26nor shall you
10:27be able to go
10:28ahead of it
10:29to find an escape
10:30from it
10:31for a single
10:32moment
10:34and those who
10:35disbelieve say
10:36we will never
10:37believe in this
10:38Quran
10:38nor in the books
10:40that preceded it
10:41could you but
10:43see their condition
10:44when the wrongdoers
10:46will be made
10:46to stand before
10:47their lord
10:48they will be
10:49bandying words
10:50and so throwing
10:51back the blame
10:52on one another
10:53those who had
10:54been suppressed
10:55and made weak
10:57will say
10:57to those who
10:58considered themselves
10:59superior
11:00had it not
11:01been for you
11:02we would surely
11:04have been believers
11:07thereupon
11:07those who
11:08considered themselves
11:09superior
11:09will say
11:10to those who
11:10had been suppressed
11:11and made weak
11:13in the world
11:13was it we
11:14who kept you
11:15away from
11:16following the
11:16guidance
11:17after it had
11:17come to you
11:18no this
11:19was not
11:20the case
11:20rather you
11:21were guilty
11:22in your own
11:23right
11:24and those
11:25who were
11:26suppressed
11:26and made
11:28weak in the
11:28world
11:28will say
11:29to those
11:29who considered
11:30themselves
11:30superior
11:31nay
11:32we did
11:34not become
11:34guilty
11:35in our
11:35own
11:36right
11:36rather it
11:37was due
11:37to your
11:38schemes
11:39which you
11:39hatched
11:40by day
11:41and night
11:42that kept
11:43us away
11:44from guidance
11:44for then
11:46you urged
11:47us to
11:47disbelieve
11:48in Allah
11:48and set
11:49up
11:49equals
11:50with him
11:50to be
11:51worshipped
11:52and they
11:53will not
11:53be able
11:54to conceal
11:55their remorse
11:55when they
11:56see the
11:56punishment
11:57we shall
11:58put shackles
11:59round the
12:00necks
12:00of these
12:00disbelievers
12:01they will
12:02be recompensed
12:03only according
12:04to their
12:05actual deeds
12:08we sent
12:09no warner
12:10to any
12:10town
12:11but it
12:12corrupted
12:13well to do
12:14people
12:14said
12:14surely
12:16we
12:16disbelieve
12:17in the
12:17messages
12:17that you
12:18have been
12:18sent
12:18with
12:20and they
12:21also
12:21say
12:22we are
12:23better
12:23off
12:24in respect
12:24of wealth
12:25and children
12:26as compared
12:27with others
12:27and we
12:28are not
12:29at all
12:30going to
12:30be made
12:31to suffer
12:32say
12:34verily
12:35my lord
12:35multiplies
12:36the means
12:37of livelihood
12:38for whom
12:38he will
12:39and makes
12:40them scant
12:41for whom
12:42he pleases
12:43but most
12:44people
12:45do not
12:46know
12:46the reason
12:47behind
12:48neither
12:49your wealth
12:50nor your
12:50children
12:51are a
12:51means
12:52that can
12:52bring you
12:52near to
12:53us
12:53in rank
12:54but it
12:55is only
12:55those who
12:56believe
12:56and do
12:57righteous
12:57deeds
12:57whose faith
12:59and virtue
12:59will be the
13:00means to
13:00bring them
13:01near to
13:01us
13:02they shall
13:03have the
13:03reward
13:04for their
13:04virtuous
13:05deeds
13:05many times
13:06over
13:07and shall
13:08be occupying
13:09the lofty
13:10places
13:10with peace
13:11and security
13:12but those
13:13who strive
13:14hard in
13:15their opposition
13:15to our
13:16messages
13:16seeking to
13:17render our
13:18plan null
13:19and void
13:20and thinking
13:21they will
13:22escape us
13:22it is they
13:24who will be
13:24brought to
13:25face punishment
13:27say
13:28surely my lord
13:30multiplies the
13:31means of
13:31livelihood
13:32for such
13:33of his
13:33servants
13:34as he
13:34will
13:34and makes
13:36them scant
13:36for him
13:37whom he
13:38pleases
13:39and whatever
13:40you spend
13:41in some
13:41noble cause
13:42he exceeds
13:44it in
13:44giving reward
13:45so as to
13:46leave it
13:47behind
13:47he is the
13:49best of
13:49providers
13:51never be
13:52oblivious
13:53of the day
13:53when he
13:54will gather
13:54them all
13:55together
13:56then he
13:57will say
13:57to the
13:57angels
13:58are these
13:59the ones
14:00who used
14:01to worship
14:01you
14:02they will
14:03say
14:04holy is
14:05your name
14:07it is
14:07you
14:08who are
14:08our
14:09protector
14:09against
14:10them
14:10not
14:11they
14:11it was
14:13not
14:13us
14:14but the
14:14jinns
14:15that they
14:15worshipped
14:15it was
14:17in them
14:17that most
14:18of them
14:19believed
14:19and not
14:20in us
14:23so it
14:24will be
14:24said to
14:24the false
14:25gods
14:25and their
14:26worshippers
14:26this day
14:28you have
14:28no power
14:29to help
14:29or harm
14:30one another
14:30and we
14:31shall say
14:32to the
14:32wrongdoers
14:33suffer
14:34the agony
14:34of the
14:35fire
14:35which you
14:36used to
14:36cry lies
14:37to
14:38and when
14:38our
14:39clear
14:39messages
14:39are
14:40recited
14:40to them
14:41they say
14:41this
14:42fellow
14:43is but
14:43a man
14:44who
14:44wishes
14:45to keep
14:45you
14:45away
14:46from
14:46worshipping
14:46the gods
14:47that your
14:48fathers
14:48used to
14:48worship
14:49and they
14:50say
14:50of the
14:50Quran
14:51this
14:52is
14:52nothing
14:52but a
14:53forged
14:53lie
14:54unprecedented
14:56and
14:56those
14:57who
14:57disbelieve
14:58say
14:58regarding
14:59this
14:59perfect
15:00truth
15:00when it
15:00has
15:00come
15:01to
15:01them
15:01this
15:02is
15:02nothing
15:02but a
15:03hoax
15:03causing
15:04a split
15:05among
15:05the
15:05people
15:07whereas
15:08we had
15:09given
15:09them
15:09none
15:09of
15:10our
15:10books
15:10which
15:11they
15:11studied
15:11nor
15:12did
15:12we
15:12send
15:13to
15:13them
15:13any
15:14warner
15:14in the
15:14recent
15:15past
15:15before
15:15you
15:16that
15:17they
15:17should
15:17have
15:17known
15:17the
15:18abuses
15:18involved
15:19in
15:19forging
15:20lies
15:21their
15:22predecessors
15:22had
15:23also
15:23cried
15:24lies
15:24to
15:24the
15:24prophets
15:25of
15:25their
15:25time
15:26and
15:27these
15:27Meccans
15:28have
15:28not
15:28attained
15:29even
15:30a
15:30tenth
15:30of
15:30that
15:31resources
15:32of
15:32wealth
15:32and
15:33strength
15:33which
15:34we
15:34had
15:34given
15:35their
15:35predecessors
15:36yet
15:37they
15:37cried
15:37lies
15:38to
15:38my
15:38messages
15:39so let
15:40thee
15:41see
15:41how
15:41terrible
15:42was the
15:42change
15:43i brought
15:43about
15:43and how
15:44tremendous
15:45was the
15:45result
15:46of my
15:46disapproval
15:48say
15:49say
15:49i advise
15:51you to
15:51do
15:52one
15:52thing
15:52it
15:53is
15:53that
15:54you
15:54keep
15:54allah
15:55before
15:55you
15:55stand
15:56up
15:57in
15:57twos
15:57collectively
