00:13the byzantines have been defeated in the land nearby syria and palestine and they after their
00:25defeat shall overpower their enemies the persians within three to nine years the power belongs to
00:34allah after their defeat as it belonged to him before it and on that day the believers too will
00:42rejoice over the victory given to them by allah he gives victory to whom he will and he is the
00:51almighty
00:52the ever merciful this is allah's promise it is far from allah to break his promise yet most of the
01:01people do not know this they know only the apparent side of the present life and they are completely
01:09unmindful of the next do they never think over in their own minds that allah has created the heavens
01:18and the earth and all that lies between the two only to suit the requirements of truth and wisdom
01:25and with a definite end in view but for a stated term after which the doom must come yet many
01:35among
01:35the people do not believe in the meeting with their lord ever have they not traveled through the land
01:41and seen how evil was the end of those who were before them they their predecessors were superior to
01:49them in prowess and strength they tilled the land and populated it more and better than these have
01:57populated it and their messengers of god had come to them with manifest signs but they denied them and
02:05were destroyed it was indeed far from allah to have done injustice to them but they themselves wronged
02:13their own souls then evil was the end of those who did evil because they cried lies to the messages
02:21of
02:22allah and they treated them as something of least importance allah originates creation then he keeps on
02:31repeating and reproducing it then to him shall you be brought back and on the day when the promised hour
02:39of
02:39reckoning will arrive those who have cut their ties with allah and were lost in sin will be confronted with
02:46despair none from among their associate gods will intercede for them though they had renounced their faith in
02:55allah because of these gods whom they associated with him and day when the hour of reckoning will arise
03:04on that day they the virtuous and the sinful will be sorted out into different groups then as for those
03:14who had
03:15believed and done deeds of righteousness they will be welcomed with all honors and entertained in a stately and
03:24delightful garden but as for those who had disbelieved and cried lies to our messages and the meeting of the
03:33hereafter it is they who shall be given over to punishment lasting long so glorify allah when you enter the
03:44evening and when you enter the morning for to him belongs all type of perfect and true praise in the
03:52heavens and the earth and glorify him in the afternoon and when you enter upon the hour of noon out
04:02of the dead he brings forth the living and out of the living he brings forth the dead and he
04:08gives life to the earth making it look green and flourishing after its death that is the
04:14that is how you shall be raised to life from the state of death and it is one of his
04:20signs that he created you of dust and
04:23and then lo you are human beings who are spreading far and wide over the earth and it is one
04:31of his signs that he has created spouses for you from your own species that you might find comfort in
04:38them and he has induced mutual love and tenderness between you behold there are signs in this for a people
04:47who would reflect the creation of the heavens and the earth and the
04:53the diversity of your tongues and colors are also some of his signs behold there are sure signs for the
05:02learned people in this unity of humankind and oneness of the creator and among his signs is your sleeping and
05:11your seeking of his bounty by night and day behold there are sure signs in this for a people who
05:19would listen
05:21and one of his signs and one of his signs and one of his signs and one of his signs
05:24is that he shows you the flash of lightning to create fear of thunder and storm and hope for fruitful
05:31rain and sends down water from the clouds and revives therewith the earth after its death
05:40behold there are many signs in this for a people who make use of their understanding
05:46and it is one of his signs that the heavens and the earth stand firm by his command
05:52then as soon as he calls you forth from the earth by a single call behold you will come forth
06:00all at once and suddenly
06:03all those who are in the heavens and the earth belong to him all are obedient to him
06:10it is he who originates the creation then keeps on repeating and reproducing it
06:16this work of creation and reproduction is most easy for him
06:22his is the most exalted state and the noblest attributes in the heavens and the earth
06:28and he is the almighty the all-wise
06:33he sets forth for you an illustration drawn from your own lives
06:38do any of those whom your right hands own equally share with you that which we have provided you with
06:46it is however a fact that you all the owner and the owned are equal partners in it
06:54so that you take care of them as you take care of your own selves
06:58that is how we explain many of our messages to a people who make use of their understanding
07:06nay but those who behave unjustly they pursue their own low desires without any knowledge whatsoever
07:15so who can guide one whom Allah has adjudged as lost
07:20there will be none to help them
07:23so pay your wholehearted attention to the cause of faith
07:27as one devoted to pure faith
07:29turning away from all that is false
07:33and follow the faith of Allah
07:35to suit the requirements of which he has made the nature of humankind
07:40there can be no change in the nature of creation which Allah has made
07:45that is the right and most perfect faith
07:49yet most people do not know it
07:53believers
07:54you should all be attentive to him
07:57turning to him in repentance
07:59and take him as your shield for protection
08:02and observe prayer
08:03and be not of those who associate partners with him
08:09of those who have split up their faith
08:11and have divided themselves into sects
08:14so that every party is happy with what they have
08:18when some evil befalls the people they call on their Lord
08:22turning sincerely to him in repentance
08:25but no sooner he lets them enjoy mercy from him
08:29than a section of them associate partners with him
08:32and starts worshipping gods besides Allah
08:36with the result that they show ingratitude for what we have given them
08:42so you ungrateful people
08:44enjoy yourselves for a while
08:46but shortly you will come to know the consequences
08:51have we revealed to them some authoritative proof
08:55which speaks highly in favor of what they associate with him
08:58and when we let people enjoy our mercy
09:02they rejoice over it
09:04but no sooner does an evil befall them
09:07because of their own evil deeds
09:10then they grow despondent
09:12do they not see that Allah multiplies the means of livelihood
09:17for whomsoever he will
09:19and makes them scant for whomsoever he will
09:23behold
09:24behold
09:25there are signs in this for a people who would believe
09:29so present to the near of kin his due
09:33and to the needy and the wayfarer
09:36this is best for those who seek the pleasure of Allah
09:40it is they alone who will attain their goal
09:44and that which you lay out as interest and usury
09:48with a view to increase the wealth of the people
09:51does not help increase it in the sight of Allah
09:54but that which you present as the zakat
09:57with a view to seek thereby the pleasure of Allah
10:00it is they then who will increase their wealth many times over
10:06it is Allah who has created you
10:08then he provides for you
10:10then he will call you to death
10:13and then he will bring you to life
10:15is there any of your so-called associate gods
10:20who can do the least of these things
10:22holy is he
10:23and highly exalted
10:26and far above the things they associate with him
10:30disorder and corruption has prevailed on land and sea
10:36owing to the evil deeds which people have wrought
10:39the result will be
10:41that he will make them taste in this world
10:44the fruit of some of their misdeeds
10:47so that they may return to the right path
10:50giving up their evil ways
10:52say
10:54travel all over the earth
10:56and behold how evil the end of your predecessors was
11:01most of them were those who assigned associates with God
11:05so pay your whole hearted attention to the cause of the right and perfect faith
11:10before there comes from Allah
11:12the day for which there will be no averting
11:16on that day
11:17they
11:17the believers and disbelievers
11:20shall split up into different groups
11:23so that those who disbelieve will pay for their disbelief
11:27while those who do righteous deeds will find that they have made provisions for their own good
11:33and so that
11:34he will reward those who believe and do deeds of righteousness through his bounty and grace
11:41and he does not love the disbelievers of course
11:46and it is one of his signs that he sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings
11:52he does it that he may let you enjoy the blessings of his mercy
11:58and that these ships may sail at his command
12:00and that you may seek his bounty and grace
12:04and so that you may render him thanks
12:08indeed we have already sent messengers to their respective people before you
12:13and they came to them with clear proofs
12:16then we punished those who had denied their apostles
12:20and cut their ties with God
12:22and it is of course ever incumbent upon us
12:26to help the believers
12:27it is Allah alone who sends forth the winds
12:31and they raise the vapors to form a cloud
12:35which he spreads out in the sky as he will
12:38and sets it layer upon layer
12:41and you see the rain falling from its midst
12:45and no sooner does he cause it to fall on whom he will of his servants
12:49than they are filled with joy
12:53though shortly before it was sent down upon them
12:56they were in a state of despondency
12:59look therefore at the evidences of Allah's mercy
13:04how he breathes life into the earth
13:07making it green and flourishing
13:08after its state of death
13:11surely he it is
13:12the same God
13:14who will raise the dead to life in the hereafter
13:17for he is the possessor
13:19of power over every desired thing
13:24and if we send another kind of blasting wind
13:28and they see it turn yellow
13:30for its having taken the form of punishment
13:33they will even after that continue to disbelieve
13:37for their being engrossed in evil doings
13:41and you cannot make the dead hear
13:44nor can you make the deaf hear the call
13:47when they retreat turning their backs on you
13:49nor can you guide the blind out of their error
13:53you can make only those hear who would believe in our messages
13:57and submit to us
14:00it is Allah alone
14:03who creates you in a state of weakness
14:06he then replaces your weakness with strength of youth
14:10and again replaces your strength with weakness and grey hair of old age
14:16he creates what he will
14:18he is the all-knowing
14:20the all-powerful
14:23and on the day when the hour shall arrive
14:26and the resurrection takes place
14:28the guilty will swear that they stayed in the world
14:31for not more than a very brief time
14:34but as they had been turned away from the right way
14:37so they will be turned away from Allah's protection on that day
14:43and those who in their present life
14:45have been given true knowledge and the faith will say
14:47you have indeed stayed behind according to the record of Allah
14:51till the day of being raised up to the life of the hereafter
14:56this then is the day of being raised up to life
14:59but you did not care to know
15:03so on that day
15:04no excuses in their defense will avail those who had acted unjustly
15:09nor will they be allowed to approach the threshold
15:14we have indeed described for humankind
15:18every excellent thing in this Quran
15:21and even if you bring them a sign
15:23those who disbelieve would certainly say
15:27you and your followers are all devotees of falsehood
15:31that is how Allah seals the hearts of those who do not bother to know
15:37therefore prophet
15:38have patience and perseverance
15:42surely the promise of Allah
15:44about your victory and the defeat of the disbelievers
15:47is bound to be true
15:50so let not those who are not convinced of the truth
15:54hold you in light estimation
15:56so as to move you from your stand
