00:30perhaps you will consume yourself away with anxiety because they do not become believers if we so please we can
00:38send down upon them such a sign from above that their necks would bend and heads bow down in submission
00:45to it
00:46there never comes to them a fresh reminder in a form new and with new details from the most gracious
00:53god but they turn away from it
00:57now when they have cried lies to the messages of their lord and denied the quran there will soon come
01:04to them the great tidings about their own doom and predominance of islam which they used to take lightly
01:11do they not see the earth how many excellent and useful things of all species we have caused to grow
01:17on it
01:19indeed there is a sign in this yet most of them would not believe
01:24and your lord of course he is the almighty the ever merciful
01:32and recall the time when your lord called to moses directing him go to the wrongdoing people
01:39the people of pharaoh and say to them will they not guard against evil
01:46moses said my lord i am afraid they will cry me lies
01:51and my bosom straightens and my heart fails me and my tongue is not fluent for feeling inadequate to deliver
02:00the message i am entrusted with
02:02therefore send to aaron to help me
02:07moreover they have a charge of of the murder of an egyptian against me
02:12so i fear they will kill me before i am able to deliver your message to them
02:18the lord said that shall not be go then both of you with our messages
02:25and we are assuredly with you listening to your prayers
02:30go to pharaoh both of you and say
02:34we are bearers of a message from the lord of the worlds
02:38who commands you to send the children of israel with us
02:44so when moses and aaron went to pharaoh he said to moses
02:48did we not bring you up among us when you were a mere babe
02:52and you stayed with us many years of your life
02:56and you have surely committed an act
02:59and you are of the ungrateful
03:02moses said
03:04indeed i did it
03:06and as i was lost
03:07for the love of my people and was in a perplexed state of mind
03:12so i fled from you when i apprehended injustice from you
03:16then it came to pass that my lord granted me knowledge
03:20and right judgment and made me one of the messengers
03:25and this insignificant favor of your bringing me up
03:29that you so tauntingly remind me of
03:31can be no reasonable excuse
03:33for you have enslaved the whole community of the children of israel
03:38for no fault of theirs
03:41pharaoh was confounded
03:42and turning the topic of the conversation said
03:45what is this lord of the world
03:47by whom you claim to be sent
03:50moses said
03:51he is the lord of the heavens and the earth
03:54and of all that lies between the two
03:57if you and your companions be convinced of this true knowledge
04:00and have faith in him
04:03thereupon pharaoh said to those around him
04:05do you not hear what is being said
04:09moses continued
04:10he is the same who is your lord
04:13and the lord of your fathers of your
04:16pharaoh said
04:17most surely this messenger of yours
04:19who has been sent to you
04:20is a madman indeed
04:23moses said continuing his speech
04:25in respect of time
04:27the lord of the worlds
04:28is the same as the lord of the east and of the west
04:32and of all that lies between the two
04:34you can be rightly guided
04:36if you could only use your senses
04:39pharaoh said
04:41if you worship any god other than me
04:43i will certainly make you one of the imprisoned
04:47moses said
04:48will you do this
04:49even though i bring to you something
04:51that makes the truth of my statement clear to you
04:55pharaoh said
04:55bring it then
04:57if you are of the truthful
04:59so he put his staff on the ground
05:02and behold
05:03it was a serpent
05:05plainly visible
05:07and he stuck his hand out
05:09and lo
05:09it was shining white
05:11to the beholders
05:14pharaoh said to his courtiers
05:16around him
05:17this man
05:18is surely a skilled sorcerer
05:21who seeks to turn you
05:23out of your country
05:24by dint of his sorcery
05:25now what do you advise
05:28they said
05:29detain him and his brother for a while
05:32and send heralds into the cities to collect
05:36and bring to you all skilled and very expert sorcerers
05:42so the sorcerers were gathered together
05:45at the appointed time and place on a fixed day
05:48and it was said to the people
05:50will you also assemble together
05:53in the field of contest
05:56so that we may follow the sorcerers
05:58if they win clear supremacy
06:01so when all the sorcerers came
06:04they said to pharaoh
06:05shall we be really richly rewarded
06:08if we gain clear supremacy
06:11he said
06:12yes
06:13and surely you will in that case
06:16be among my close companions
06:19moses said to them
06:20now put forward of your things of sorcery
06:23what you have to put forward
06:26so they put down on the ground
06:28their ropes and their staffs
06:29and said
06:30by pharaoh's honor and might
06:33it is we who will certainly be the winners
06:38when moses put down on the ground
06:40his staff
06:41lo
06:42it instantly destroyed
06:44all that they had fabricated
06:47thereupon the sorcerers were impelled
06:49to fall down prostrating
06:51and they said
06:53we believe in the lord of the worlds
06:55the lord of moses and aaron
06:58pharaoh said
07:00have you believed in him before i gave you leave
07:04indeed
07:05he is your chief
07:07the same who taught you sorcery
07:09so you will know
07:11your horrible end
07:13i will most surely
07:14cut off your hands
07:15and your feet
07:16on alternate sides
07:17for you're this opposition to me
07:21and i will crucify you to death
07:23one and all
07:26they said
07:27it does not matter at all
07:29we have after all
07:31to return to our lord
07:33we do hope that our lord
07:35will forgive us our offenses
07:37since we are the first to believe
07:41and we revealed to moses directing him
07:44take away my servants by night
07:46for you shall certainly be pursued
07:49pharaoh when he came to know of the exodus
07:52sent heralds to the towns to collect
07:56these israelites are indeed a despicable party
07:59a few in number
08:01yet they have offended us
08:04by defying us and making good their escape
08:06and we are as compared to them
08:10a united multitude
08:11fully equipped and vigilant
08:15so we made them leave the land
08:17of gardens and springs
08:19as well as every place with treasures
08:22and every abode of honor
08:25that is what we did for the wrongdoings
08:28and we gave the like of these
08:30as a free gift
08:32to the children of israel
08:35and they
08:36the host of pharaoh
08:37pursued them at sunrise
08:40and when the two hosts
08:42sighted each other
08:44the companions of moses said
08:46we are surely overtaken
08:49moses said
08:51no not at all
08:52my lord is with me
08:54he will lead me out of the impasse
08:56and to safety
08:58then we revealed to moses saying
09:01strike the sea with your staff
09:03and as he did
09:05so it parted
09:06and each part of the two hosts
09:08looked like a huge mound
09:12and we caused the others
09:14the pursuers
09:15the people of pharaoh
09:16to draw near the same place
09:19and we saved moses
09:21and those who were with him
09:22all together
09:23then we drowned the others
09:25behold
09:27there is a marvelous sign
09:29in this episode
09:30yet most of them
09:31would not be believers
09:33and indeed your lord
09:35he is the almighty
09:37the ever merciful
09:40and narrate to them
09:42the important event
09:43of the life of abraham
09:45when he said to his sire
09:47and his people
09:49what things are those
09:50which you worship
09:52we worship idols
09:54and will remain
09:55constantly devoted to them
09:56said they
09:58abraham said
09:59can they listen to you
10:01when you call on them
10:03or can they do you good
10:05or avert harm from you
10:07they said
10:08nay
10:09it is not so
10:11but we found our fathers
10:13doing likewise
10:15abraham said
10:16but have you ever considered
10:18what you have been worshiping
10:20you and your fathers
10:22before you
10:23they are all enemies
10:25to me
10:26different however
10:27is the case
10:28of the lord of the world
10:30he has created me
10:32and it is he
10:33who will guide me
10:35to reach the goal
10:37and who gives me
10:38food and drink
10:40and who restores me
10:41to health
10:42through his grace
10:43and mercy
10:43whenever i am
10:45taken ill
10:47and who will call me
10:48to death
10:49and then will raise me
10:50to life again
10:52and who i eagerly
10:54hope will protect me
10:55from the undesirable
10:56consequences of my
10:57faults on the day
10:58of requital
11:00abraham then turned
11:01to his lord
11:02and said
11:02my lord
11:04grant me strong
11:06and right judgment
11:07and make me follow
11:08and join the righteous
11:11and ordain for me
11:12a noble
11:13true
11:13and lasting
11:14reputation
11:14among posterity
11:16and make me
11:17one of the heirs
11:18of the garden
11:19of great bliss
11:21and protect
11:22my sire
11:23he is of course
11:25of the erring ones
11:27and do not
11:28put me to shame
11:29and disgrace
11:30on the day
11:31when people
11:32will be resurrected
11:33the day
11:34when wealth
11:35will not avail
11:36nor sons
11:37be of any good
11:39but he alone
11:41will be saved
11:42who comes
11:42to allah
11:43with a sound
11:44and pure heart
11:47the day
11:48when paradise
11:48will be brought
11:49near to those
11:50who guard
11:51against evil
11:51and jehenna
11:53shall be unveiled
11:54and placed
11:55in full view
11:56to those wretched
11:57ones who had
11:58deviated from
11:59the right path
12:00and who shall
12:01be asked
12:02where are your
12:04deities that you
12:05worship
12:05apart from
12:06allah
12:07can they come
12:08to your help
12:09or inflict punishment
12:11then they
12:12the false
12:13deities
12:14shall all
12:15be hurled
12:16headlong
12:17into the depths
12:18of it
12:18again and again
12:20and along
12:21with them
12:21all those
12:22wretched fellows
12:23who had deviated
12:24from the right path
12:25and the supporters
12:27of Iblis
12:28all together
12:29they will say
12:31disputing therein
12:32among themselves
12:34by allah
12:35we were certainly
12:37in manifest
12:38and deep error
12:40in holding
12:41you as equals
12:43with the lord
12:44of the worlds
12:45and none
12:46but those
12:47who cut off
12:47their ties
12:48with allah
12:49led us astray
12:50so that now
12:51we have none
12:52of the intercessors
12:53nor any
12:55warm hearted
12:56true friend
12:58could we have
12:59but another
13:00chance
13:00to return
13:01to the world
13:02then we would
13:03surely become
13:04of the true
13:05believers
13:06verily there is
13:08a remarkable
13:08sign in this
13:09yet most of
13:11the people
13:11would not
13:12be believers
13:12and of course
13:14your lord
13:15he is the almighty
13:17the ever
13:18merciful
13:21the people
13:22of noah
13:23cried lies
13:24to the messengers
13:25recall the time
13:27when their
13:27kinsmen
13:28noah
13:28said to them
13:29will you not
13:30guard against
13:31evil
13:33surely
13:33i am to you
13:35a messenger
13:35faithful to
13:37my trust
13:37so take
13:39allah as a
13:40shield
13:40and obey me
13:43and i ask
13:44no reward
13:45from you
13:45for it
13:45my reward
13:47lies with
13:48the lord
13:48of the worlds
