00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday evening weather update from the Met Office.
00:05The temperatures are on the up through the next 24 hours, in fact tomorrow we could see
00:09an 18 in the south.
00:11The air is coming in from a mild direction, you can see the blues surrounding it towards
00:17the north and northwest of the UK, but weather fronts never too far away and the highest
00:22rainfall totals will always be in the west, particularly the northwest as we head through
00:26the middle part of the week.
00:28As we head into the latter part of the week, temperatures will wane a little bit.
00:33The peak of the temperature will be on Wednesday and further spells of rain and showers again
00:38pushing in from the Atlantic.
00:40Now through this evening, you can see where the rain is persistent across the north and
00:44the west of Scotland, edging in across Northern Ireland from the west and quite a breeze coming
00:49up from a southerly direction, a mild direction.
00:53Across England and Wales it's mostly dry, certainly some clearer skies across central
00:58and eastern areas and here in shelter we could see some fog patches forming, particularly
01:03across central and southern parts of England.
01:05Temperatures holding up wherever you are, a mild start to the day and wet for some.
01:10So across the north and the west of Scotland you'll see outbreaks of rain as you step outside
01:15tomorrow morning, a lot of clouds generally.
01:19Across eastern Scotland, the rain will just come and go, southeast Scotland as well.
01:24The rain will cover most of Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, seeing that rain far northwest
01:28of England.
01:29Elsewhere though, a mostly dry start to the day, albeit rather murky.
01:33However, for the southwest peninsula, the western part of Wales, showery bursts of rain are likely
01:39and a bit of a breeze again coming in from the south.
01:44So through the morning we'll see some brighter breaks, particularly across central and eastern
01:47areas of the country.
01:49Temperatures rising very nicely through the day.
01:51We hang on to the rain across Scotland, northwest England seeing that rain coming and going.
01:56Wales seeing some showery bursts towards the southwest as well.
01:59Showers will follow the rain across Northern Ireland through the afternoon and we hang on
02:03to brighter weather, the Midlands seeing some bright skies, some sunshine further east where
02:08temperatures could reach 18 degrees Celsius, the first time we've seen 18 since early November
02:14last year.
02:15Elsewhere, still on the mild side, 11 or 12 towards the north, 15 or 16 across northern England
02:20as well as Wales.
02:21Now through Wednesday evening and overnight, a lot of clouds, showery bursts extending from
02:26the southwest towards the northeast and high rainfall totals across the northwest of Scotland
02:31continuing.
02:32Overnight, still a mild one with a breeze, quite blustery at times and that leads into a cloudy
02:39start to the day on Thursday.
02:41Yet again, more rain arrives from the Atlantic extending across Northern Ireland, Scotland,
02:45Northern England, Wales.
02:46The Midlands eventually seeing some around lunchtime as well as the west country hanging on to dry
02:51skies towards the southeast with blustery showers to follow towards the north as well as the
02:55west and they could be heavy.
02:57An intrusion of slightly colder air comes through as we head through to Friday again with blustery
03:02showers.
03:03Rain clears England and Wales through the day and then into Saturday morning, a frost for
03:08some bright skies as we start the weekend before more rain arrives again from the west tracking
03:14across the country.
03:15So all in all, the weather's fairly mobile.
03:17The highest rainfall totals will be towards the west and you'll catch some brighter weather
03:21further east from time to time but mild tomorrow.
03:23All right.
03:24All right.
03:24All right.
03:24All right.
