01:39So, it's one of those things where I really want to hear what other guys are doing in other regions,
01:43because I'm almost getting enthusiastic to try to go do it again.
01:46But, it's his knowledge of the fishery both inshore and offshore, and makes him a subject matter expert around the
01:54Cape Canaveral area.
01:56Menhaden are so plentiful that just one throw of the cast net makes enough bait for the day to catch
02:02the eye of the local snook and redfish.
02:04Just watch out for the spent booster rockets as they pass you by.

03:15The inlets, both on the East Coast and the West Coast.
03:19We're certainly fishing up here, up near Cape Canaveral.
03:25You know, that Sebastian Inlet.

03:28Ponce has been on fire.
03:29They actually had like a king of the snook tournament or something over this last weekend.
03:35Like a little local thing.

03:36Guy's catching 36, 37 inch fish.

03:42I mean, it's right there.

03:43But even Ponce getting them now.
03:45You know, it's crazy how this fishery has exploded over the last 10 years.

03:50And it's become consistent enough that we fish them almost year round.
03:55January is the only time that we don't get a chance really to consistently catch these

04:01Every other month, we're good to go.

04:05And, you know, every time we have a bad cold snap like we had in 2010, I believe what happens
04:11is the ones that survive are more cold tolerant.

06:29So, this is a Space Coast rocket with a line down the side of it.

06:43Now, if this fish was a fish that I believe, this is only my opinion.

06:48But if he was a fish that was an estuary fish, like you catch in the back country,
06:54two things that they do.
06:55One, this line will be real dominant and it'll go right on through here.

07:01All the way through the webbing part of the tail.

07:10But more importantly, the real thing that makes distinguishing to me is when this fish
07:16gets hooked, a fish that's a coastal DNA, when he gets hooked, what does he do?
07:21He runs to the deepest part of the water when he's afraid.

07:25Versus the other ones when you hook them.
07:27You can hook the same fish and that fish is going to try to run and break you off in
07:31the jetty or he's going to try to run and break you off underneath the tree limb.
07:34In a mangrove or something.
07:35That fish, genetically, his implant is, I got to go break it off on a dock pylon break
07:41because that's what he knows.
