01:30Thomas, they groaned.
01:30We feel so full.
01:32We feel so full.
01:34Oh, come on, said Thomas.
01:36Where's your festive spirit?
01:37Christmas Day is almost here.
01:41By the side of the track was a little cottage with a familiar figure waving to them.
01:46It's Mrs. Kindly, whistled Thomas.
01:49Beep, beep.
01:50Happy Christmas.
01:52Thomas always felt better for seeing her.
01:55Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without Mrs. Kindly, he said to himself.
02:00When work was over, Thomas went to see the other engines.
02:04All their coats had been polished.
02:06Huh, said Gordon.
02:08Just look at us.
02:09Your driver will have to work fast to get you as smart as us.
02:15Never mind that, replied Thomas.
02:17I have something important to say.
02:19Do you realize it's been a whole year since Mrs. Kindly saved us from a nasty accident?
02:24You remember when she was ill in bed and...
02:27Yes, of course, interrupted Edward.
02:29You told us how she waved her red dressing gown out of her window to warn you about a landslide
02:34ahead.
02:35And you and Toby gave her presents?
02:37Percy joined in.
02:39And Sir Topham had sent her to the seaside to get better.
02:43But, said the other engines, the rest of us never thanked her properly.
02:49Exactly, said Thomas.
02:50So now I think we should all give her a special Christmas party.
02:55Everyone was getting very excited.
02:58And the drivers felt sure that Sir Topham Hatt would agree, as indeed he did.
03:03The engines were all busy making plans when silence fell.
03:08Sir Topham Hatt had bad news.
03:11The weather's changed badly.
03:13Mrs. Kindly has snowed up.
03:15Toby says he'll help to rescue her.
03:17You must help too, Thomas.
03:18There's no party unless you do.
03:21Thomas hated snow, but he said bravely,
03:24I'll try, sir.
03:25We must rescue her.
03:26We must.
03:27There's a good engine.
03:29You and Toby will manage splendidly.
03:32Thomas charged the snowdrifts fiercely.
03:37Sometimes he swept them aside.
03:39Sometimes they stuck fast.
03:42And the men had to loosen them.
03:49But at the cutting near the cottage, they could go no further.
03:53Look at that, exclaimed Thomas' fireman.
03:58Beep, beep.
03:59Here we are.
04:00An answering wave came from an upstairs window.
04:04Then they heard a familiar sound.
04:07That's Terrence, the tractor, said Thomas.
04:09He's come to help too.
04:11Sure enough, Terrence had a snowplow and was working hard to clear a patch to the railroad line and safety.
04:21At long last, the rescue was complete.
04:24Percy took the tired workman home.
04:27Terrence said goodbye to Mrs. Kindly and promised to take care of her cottage as he watched them all set
04:33off.
04:36The engines made good time.
04:39No more snow had fallen, but the yard was dark.
04:42There was no one to be seen.
04:44Thomas' heart sank.
04:47Suddenly, all the lights went off.
04:50What a marvelous sight awaited Mrs. Kindly.
04:53Well done, said Sir Topham Hatt.
04:55I'm really proud of you all.
04:57Mrs. Kindly especially thanked the smaller engines.
05:00Thomas and Toby are old friends, she said.
05:03And now, Percy, you are my friend, too.
05:06Percy was very pleased.
05:08Three cheers for Mrs. Kindly, he called.
05:11Beep, beep, beep.
05:12They all whistled.
05:16We wish you a Merry Christmas.
05:18We wish you a Merry Christmas.
05:20We wish you a Merry Christmas.
05:22And a Happy New Year.
05:26Thomas, the tank engine, and his friends thought it was the best Christmas ever.
05:31And Mrs. Kindly could think of nowhere she would rather live than here, with them, on the island of Sodor.
05:37We wish you a Merry Christmas.
06:07We wish you a Merry Christmas.
06:10We wish you a Merry Christmas.
06:14We wish you a Merry Christmas.
06:15We wish you a Merry Christmas.
