00:00there was no sight of the teen.
00:04Let's check in with Rochelle now for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:09Thanks, Nisha. Good evening. Trinidad and Tobago is the second most loved Monday in the year for
00:16Trinies. So before we start the Monday madness, let's get right to your weather. Let's see what
00:22we're getting tonight. Tonight is looking fair but hazy with a few brief isolated showers with
00:28the minimum temperatures of 23 degrees in Trinidad and 24 in Tobago. And tomorrow will be another
00:35hot day. According to the Met Office, expect a mostly sunny, hazy and breezy day apart from
00:42a few isolated showers during the morning. Maximum temperatures will come in at 32 degrees in
00:49Trinidad and 31 in Tobago. Now make sure you have a face mask to last you the week because
00:55the dust also wants to enjoy this carnival week with us. We're currently seeing a mild to moderate
01:01concentration of Saharan dust in the atmosphere and a stronger surge is expected to arrive early
01:08Thursday with dust levels peaking between Thursday and Friday at moderate to high concentrations.
01:15These elevated levels are likely to linger at moderate intensity into the weekend. Sensitive
01:22person should take the necessary precautions. And the sun will join in on the week of fun
01:27as well. In our two-day forecast, Wednesday and Thursday will be generally sunny, hazy and
01:33breezy with brisk isolated showers that will interrupt our sunny day. Both days will have maximum temperatures
01:41of 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago. Let's head over to our sun times now. In
01:47Trinidad sunrise is at 627 and 625 in Tobago and it was set at 612 in Trinidad and 608 in Tobago.
01:56If the beach is on your to-go list tomorrow, then listen up. Seas will be moderate with waves
02:021.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and near 1 meter in sheltered areas. However, a yellow level
02:09hazardous sea alert is in effect from late Monday night at 11 p.m. through Thursday morning
02:15at 9 a.m. as a low-pressure system in the northern Atlantic generates strong netherly swells. These
02:22long-period swells will produce large battering waves along northern coastlines, especially during
02:29high tide, potentially disrupting near-shore activities such as swimming, fishing and boat moorings.
02:36Minor coastal impacts like saltwater intrusion and sand displacements are also possible and marine
02:43interests are advised to exercise caution and limit near-shore activities. With that being said,
02:49it's now time for your tide times.
