West Indies all-rounder Jason Holder says it's important for the men in maroon to be consistent following their win over Scotland in the opener at the Eden Gardens on Saturday.

He says there is always room for improvement, especially in the fielding department, with the next assignment being against England on Wednesday.

00:00The West Indies got off to a good start at this year's T20 World Cup currently taking place in India and Sri Lanka.
00:05The men in Maroon took care of Scotland on Saturday by 35 runs in Kolkata in Group C.
00:10Also playing a major part in the win was all-rounder Jason Holder.
00:13Yeah, first and foremost, to get two points on the board was key.
00:16It was a very crucial game for us to start the campaign really well.
00:19Credit to the boys, we played a really good game.
00:22I think we were challenged at certain stages of the game and we came through in those tough situations,
00:26which is strong signs for the team going forward.
00:29Having earned two points from their opening match, the Windies next faced England on Wednesday in Mumbai.
00:35And what improvements are required following game number one?
00:38Look, I think we tick a lot of boxes in the first game, you know.
00:41We keep challenging ourselves in each department.
00:44We all know we can improve in each department as we go on in this tournament.
00:49But for me, just be consistent, you know, consistent with our attitude, consistent with our ball,
00:53well, sorry, with bowling, and also consistent with batting as well.
00:57We've definitely got a touch-up in the field.
00:58We've been letting ourselves down and dropping a few chances.
01:01So that's obviously an area that we can definitely improve on as well, too.
01:05The Windies still have three more matches in Group C and want to finish on a high.
01:09As such, Holder says all the players must fully understand their functions.
01:14Look, I think for us, role clarity and role execution is very important.
01:17You know, everybody knows what's required of them personally.
01:19And that's what we need to do in order to bring together a strong collective effort.
01:23So I think the challenge for each individual is to execute their role and bring it together collectively for the team.
01:29Against the Scots, Holder grabbed three wickets and went past 100 T20 international scalps.
01:35And it's something the 34-year-old will cherish for the rest of his life.
01:39Personally, 100 wickets in this format, you know, is a blessing to be fair.
01:44I guess at the start of my career, I wouldn't have imagined this moment being the first, you know, to take 100 wickets in each format of the game.
01:51But, you know, I take it as it comes, you know, I'm very, very happy.
01:54Thank my teammates over the years.
01:57And, yeah, hopefully we can get a few more pulls.
01:59The Westernies also have to face Nepal on February 15th and then Italy on the 19th to complete the group stage.
