A 120-year-old tualang tree standing 60 meters tall has been felled in Kelantan to make way for the Central Spine Road (LTU) Project.

Sinar Harian reported that he removal came after four failed attempts and two years of planning.

00:41Project Manager Zilula Zakaria told Sinar Harian that the felling came after four failed attempts and two years of planning.
00:48Initially, the Forestry Department refused permission to fell the tree, designating it a state treasure.
00:57But after renewed applications and discussions involving multiple government agencies, approval was finally granted.
