The Economy Ministry will announce a new direction for the Central Database Hub (Padu) system before Hari Raya Aidilfitri, said its minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.

Speaking to reporters after the Malaysia Economy Forum 2026 on Thursday (Feb 5), Akmal said the government is crafting a new strategy to ensure Padu is used more comprehensively — not only for targeted aid, but also as a key foundation for national policy-making.
