00:00Let's check it out with Rochelle for more tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's now time for your weather.
00:08Let's begin with tonight. Tonight is looking fair, but hazy conditions are expected.
00:14Apart from some brief showers, we have minimum temperatures of 24 degrees in Trinidad and a bit
00:19higher in Tobago at 25. And those of you heading to your fitness or Zumba groups outdoors,
00:25the good news is tomorrow will be mostly sunny, hazy and breezy, but occasional cloud patches
00:32with few showers at times can occur. So good weather to get your exercise in. Remember to
00:38drink your water and don't sweat it if you can't get all the moves down. You know, I give some
00:44trouble without doing these exercises. You should also know that there is a moderate concentration
00:49of Saharan that's expected in the atmosphere. So persons who are sensitive to this change in
00:55their quality are advised to take the necessary precautions. Tomorrow's maximum temperatures
01:00will come in at 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago. Moving on to our two-day
01:06forecast where Thursday and Friday will follow suit, giving us sunny, hazy and breezy daytime
01:13conditions despite a brief shower times. Both days will give us maximum temperatures of 31
01:19degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees in Tobago. Now onto our sun times in Trinidad. Sunrise is
01:25at 628 and 626 in Tobago and the sun will set at 611 in Trinidad and 606 in Tobago. And if
01:33you're feeling for sun, sea and sun tomorrow, seas will be moderate with waves 2 meters to 2.5
01:40meters in open waters and 1 meter in sheltered areas. It is now time for your tide signs.
01:48Now here's what's happening internationally. Have you ever been to Niagara Falls? While the waterfalls
02:07have partially frozen, this as Canada and the U.S. have been experiencing a period of bitter cold,
02:14thanks to an Arctic air mass. Niagara Falls has only ever frozen over fully once in recorded history
02:21back in 1848. And in Florida, it's raining Egonas. Well, not exactly. Let me explain. Unusually cold
02:30weather in Florida has caused thousands of Egonas to become so cold, they appear frozen solid and fall
02:37from trees across the state, including around Miami and other parts of South Florida. Florida is
02:43experiencing a rare and intense cold snap with temperatures dropping much lower than usual for
02:49the region. This cold affects green Egonas, which are cold-blooded reptiles that rely on warm temperatures
02:56to keep their body functioning. The Egonas can appear frozen solid or lifeless, but many are just immobile
03:03and can recover once temperatures rises. Well, that's all for weather tonight. Don't go anywhere because
03:09there's more news when we come back.
