00:00Let's check in now with Rochelle for tonight's weather forecast.
00:03Thanks, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago. It's now time for your weather.
00:08Starting with what happened today, isolated thunderstorms and moderate to heavy showers
00:13continue to interrupt hazy and mostly sunny skies primarily across Trinidad.
00:19This locally heavy rainfall has led to short-lived street flooding across parts of northwestern Trinidad.
00:26And what also took place today, a pair of water spouts were spotted east of Manzanella this afternoon.
00:33It produced from a weak line of showers that weakened as it approached land.
00:38If you have no clue what a water spout is, it's basically a rotating funnel-shaped column of air
00:44that forms over water resembling a tornado.
00:48While typically short-lived and less powerful than tornadic events,
00:53all water spouts pose a danger to boats and structures.
00:57Water spouts are not uncommon in Trinidad and Tobago waters.
01:01Just a quick safety tip, if you are on a boat near a water spout,
01:06move at a 90-degree angle away from its motion.
01:10If on the shore, head to shelter as soon as possible.
01:14Now that we have that covered, let's move on to conditions in Portisbury.
01:18Impressively, TV6's Weather Center says downtown is partly cloudy with temperatures at 28 degrees Celsius.
01:25We have winds coming northeast at 2 knots.
01:28Humidity is at 85%.
01:30So tonight, you can look forward to mostly fair conditions despite a brief shower at times,
01:36with minimum temperatures coming in at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 25 in Tobago.
01:41And for tomorrow, a hot and sunny morning will give way to some cloudiness from midday onwards,
01:49accompanied by a few light to moderate showers and a medium chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms,
01:56favoring but not limited to hilly and western areas.
02:00Maximum temperatures are 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
02:04Looking at our two-day forecast now, Saturday is looking partly cloudy and breezy with few light to moderate showers occurring.
02:13There is also a medium chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms,
02:17again, favoring but not limited to hilly and western areas.
02:22We will then end our week on Sunday the same way.
02:26No break for the west.
02:28Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in Trinidad and 31 in Tobago for both Saturday and Sunday.
02:33And if you are planning any water activities tomorrow,
02:37seas are slight to moderate with waves up to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
02:45Let's take a look at our sun times now.
02:47Sunrises at 5.55 in Trinidad and it will start at 6.08.
