00:00for more in tonight's weather forecast.
00:02Thanks, Disha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:05Let's get right to your weather.
00:07On Monday, tropical storm Lorenzo formed over the Atlantic in our area of interest.
00:12Its center was about halfway between the West African coast and the Eastern Caribbean.
00:18Lorenzo is now moving northwest and is expected to turn north in the next 24 hours.
00:25Lorenzo is not expected to threaten Trinidad and Tobago.
00:28Therefore, TNT is not under any tropical storm watches or warnings.
00:34And here's what happened today.
00:36Isolated heavy showers affected Trinidad's northwest peninsula and nearby areas earlier today.
00:42Lasting into the late afternoon, street flooding was observed in Sarwa and Barataria.
00:49Moving on to conditions in Port of Spain now, TV6's weather center says,
00:52Downtown is mostly clear with temperatures at 30 degrees Celsius.
00:56We have winds coming east at 2 knots and humidity at 77%.
01:02Now, let's see what we're getting later on.
01:05Tonight, mostly fair conditions are expected.
01:08However, we will get a few early morning showers.
01:11Minimum temperatures are coming in at 24 degrees in Trinidad and 26 in Tobago.
01:16But, on a brighter note, tomorrow will be generally hot and sunny despite a few cloudy patches with light to moderate showers at times.
01:26There's a medium chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms favoring but not confined to hilly and western areas.
01:33Tomorrow, maximum temperatures are 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago.
01:39But, enjoy the sun while it lasts because in our two-day forecast, Thursday is looking a bit gloomy with partly cloudy and at times breezy daytime conditions expected.
01:51Accompanied by occasional light, moderate showers and a medium chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorms coming our way.
01:58However, we will see the light again on Friday with conditions expected to be sunny and at times breezy despite a few cloudy swells with light showers.
02:08Maximum temperatures are 32 degrees in both Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday and 33 degrees in Trinidad and 32 in Tobago on Friday.
02:16What can we expect without seas, the more you might ask?
02:21Well, seas are looking slight to moderate with waves from 1 meter to 1.5 meters in open waters and below 1 meter in sheltered areas.
02:30So, not too rough but not completely calm either.
02:33Bathing can be safe if you're a strong swimmer and cautious but it's best to avoid if you're inexperienced.
02:40To our sun times now, in Trinidad, sunrises at 5.54 and it was set at 5.48.
02:47Over in Tobago, sunrises at 5.51 and it was set at 5.45.
02:52If you're sailing out, here are your tired times.
03:06That's all for weather tonight.
03:07Don't go anywhere.
03:08There's more news after the break.
