00:00Here's Rochelle with more on tonight's weather forecast.
00:02Thanks, Tisha. Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
00:06Conditions outside might be gloomy, but the vibes are always with us right here for weather.
00:11Let's get right to it.
00:13Let's begin with what happened today.
00:15Variably cloudy skies with widespread light to moderate showers and thunderstorms
00:20favored Trinidad's southern half that continued into the early afternoon between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
00:28Elsewhere, variably cloudy skies with showers affected Tobago and the northern half of Trinidad
00:35with brief isolated activity also continuing into the early afternoon.
00:40And what's happening now in Port of Spain currently?
00:42We have a few clouds with temperatures at 28 degrees and we have humidity at 83%.
00:48And in Tobago, there's scattered clouds and temperatures at 28 degrees and winds coming east at 13 kilometers per hour
00:57and humidity at 83%.
00:59Now, I hope everyone have their comforters already laid out or an extra blanket
01:05because tonight should be pretty cool with conditions expected to be mostly cloudy
01:10with light rain possible at times and minimum temperatures at 24 degrees in Trinidad
01:15and 25 in Tobago.
01:17So, remember yesterday when I told you to ditch the shades today?
01:22Well, we're leaving it home again tomorrow because the Met Office says expect partly cloudy conditions
01:28with occasional showers and a low chance of thunderstorm activity during the afternoon in western areas.
01:35We have maximum temperatures expected to come in at 31 degrees in Trinidad and 30 degrees over in Tobago.
01:42As a matter of fact, just throw away the shades altogether.
01:46Okay, I'm exaggerating a bit, but you're not going to need it for the rest of the week
01:51because Thursday expect partly cloudy conditions, isolated showers and a low chance of the isolated afternoon thunderstorm
01:59mainly for Trinidad with maximum temperatures coming in at 31 degrees in both Trinidad and Tobago.
02:06On Friday, we'll be even cooler with cloudy periods, intermittent showers and this time with a medium chance
02:14of isolated thunderstorms mainly again for Trinidad.
02:18On Friday, maximum temperatures are 30 degrees in both islands and from sunrise to sunset.
02:25I've got the times right here for you.
02:27In Trinidad, sunrise is at 558 and it will set at 540.
02:31Over in Tobago, sunrise is at 555 and it will set at 536.
02:37And before you take a dip at the beach, let's check what tomorrow's seas are stirring up.
02:42Seas are moderate with waves 1.5 meters to 2 meters in open waters and less than 1 meter in sheltered areas.

03:01In international news, at least 40 people have been killed and hundreds of thousands forced to flee their homes
03:12as one of the strongest typhoons this year ripped through the central Philippines.
03:17Typhoon Kalamagi has flooded large areas including entire towns.
03:23Videos show people sheltering on rooftops while cars and shipping containers have been swept through the streets.
03:29A military helicopter deployed to assist relief efforts crashed, killing six crew members on board.
03:37The typhoon, locally named Tino, has weakened since making landfall early on Tuesday
03:42but has continued to bring winds of more than 80 miles per hour.
03:47It is forecast to move over the South China Sea by Wednesday.
