00:05Here's what happened today. According to the Met Office, at 5 a.m., the center of Tropical Storm Erin was located near latitude 16.5 north, longitude 41.9 west, and moving westward at 31 kilometers per hour.
00:21This general motion is expected until Thursday, with a west-northwestward motion expected from Thursday night.
00:29Erin is expected to move near to or just north of the Leeward Islands over the weekend.
00:36At this time, Erin does not pose any direct threat to Trinidad and Tobago, and there are currently no alerts, watches, or warning in effect for us.
00:45The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service will continue to monitor this system.
00:50Now, for conditions in Port Ispain presently, TV6's weather center says,
00:55Downtown is partly clear, with temperatures at 31 degrees Celsius, and winds coming northeast at 5 knots.

01:04Now, let's see what we're getting tonight. Tonight will be mostly fair, becoming partly cloudy towards dawn, with a few isolated showers.
01:13There is a low chance of isolated thunderstorms favoring south Trinidad. Minimum temperatures in Trinidad is 24 degrees Celsius, and Tobago will experience 25 degrees.
01:25And tomorrow, the Met Office says, tomorrow will be partly cloudy at times, with occasional showers.
01:31There's a medium chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Night will be generally fair, but expect a few showery smells.
01:39So, when you're leaving home, remember to walk with your umbrellas. Maximum temperatures are 31 degrees Celsius in Trinidad, and 31 in Tobago as well.

02:42In international news, some Alaskans are evacuating their homes as meltwater escapes a basin dammed by the Mendenhall glaciers,
03:07raising fears of record-breaking flooding in the U.S. state's capital city.
03:11The National Weather Service Office in Alaska has issued a flood warning as glaciers' outburst water flows into Mendenhall River, putting homes in the area at risk.
03:24For days, local officials have warned residents they may be forced to evacuate,
03:29and on Tuesday, they confirmed water had begun escaping the ice dam, and flooding was expected in the coming days.
