00:01Hello there. After a mostly dry but grey weekend, it will start to turn wet and windy as we head
00:06through this week. But as we start Monday, we still have a lot of that cloud for much
00:11of England and Wales. A few spots of some showers towards the south, and we do have
00:14some wintry showers across the higher hills of Scotland. We do then have this band of
00:19rain moving in towards Northern Ireland and the southwest of England, where we do have
00:23the first of our rain warnings coming into force across Northern Ireland. So do expect
00:27a little bit of disruption here through the back end of the afternoon. Temperatures-wise,
00:32it's not going to feel too cold. Temperatures around the sort of seasonal average, maybe
00:36just a touch below in the north, further towards the southwest, maybe creeping up towards around
00:419, possibly even 10 degrees. Now, as we head through the evening, this band of rain will
00:46continue to push its way eastwards, and it will turn widely wet across the southwest and
00:51for South Wales as well. You'll notice this heavier band of rain moving in across the south.
00:56So we do have another weather warning for southwest England and South Wales, as well as the southeast
01:01of England come the early hours of Tuesday morning. So it will be a very wet start to
01:06Tuesday. Everywhere we'll see some sort of rain, another warning in force across Northern
01:10Ireland as well. But temperatures-wise, it's not going to feel too cold. Again, around the
01:15seasonal average, maybe just a nudge above for what we would expect overnight around the
01:19mid-single figures as well. Now, that rain will continue through much of the morning. It will
01:24slowly push its way northwards, but these winds coming in towards the south and southwest,
01:28now they are going to be pretty strong as well. 50, possibly even 60 miles per hour on exposed
01:34coast, especially across the southwest Wales and for Northern Ireland as well. But everywhere
01:39we'll see this heavier rain as it does push its way northwards through the day. We may see
01:44some clearer skies towards the south across Wales and central England by the latter part of the
01:49afternoon, but we will still see these showers coming in off this southwesterly wind as well.
01:55Now, that rain towards the north, it could turn to snow across some higher hills, mostly across
01:59the Pennines and the highest hills of Scotland. But otherwise, it will be a pretty damp picture
02:04to end Tuesday. Temperatures-wise for Tuesday, again, across the north, around the seasonal
02:09average. But with this strong southwesterly winds, it is drawing up some mild air from the
02:14south once again. So more widely getting towards nine, possibly even 10 degrees. But it will feel
02:19rather chilly in that wind chill, especially where those winds are strongest across the southwest.
02:25Now, as we go through the week, it is still going to be pretty unsettled. There's still going to be
02:29some outbreaks of some rain, but there is a little bit of brightness in the forecast as well through
02:34the middle part of the week. But for all the updates on our warnings for Tuesday, and if there are
