00:04but in an interview that he conducted he may have let out a little information that nobody wanted
00:11and john specifically to that is the potential that maybe i don't know if all the owners but
00:16it would seem like the majority of the owners are interested in maybe as we've heard expanding the
00:21national football league regular season yep the uh the owners want to get to 18 games the more
00:27games the more money it's uh it's pretty good and the uh nfl has never been more powerful yet
00:3345 million people tuning in to last week's playoff games between the bears uh with the bears and the
00:39rams and people want more football and the owners want more money so getting more games is the good
00:47way to get more money uh the proposal would be to get rid of an over get rid of a preseason game
00:53and add a regular season game at the same time they want all of the each team to play one overseas
01:00game the beauty of that would be a to spread out the nfl brand over international marketplaces but
01:08at the same time we'll be able to create a tv package of international games and that would
01:13be interesting to the streamers that have global reach your youtubes your netflixes and your amazons
01:19could all be single point distributors for all of the all of these new games and that would create
01:25an entirely new source of revenue for the league uh a package that would be worth you know billions of
01:32dollars potentially because the audience of that would be worldwide so that's uh the only obstacle of
01:38course is the union uh historically the owners have really gotten pretty much anything they want out of
01:44the union the upside is if there's more revenue for the league there's more revenue for the players
01:49and that would make it saleable so the the you know they may have objections i certainly there's more
01:55risk of injury the longer the season goes but you know these guys their careers are short the money is
02:02good money would be better so i wouldn't bet against the league expanding sooner rather than later
