00:00I saw a story when I went to bed last night that the winner of the Kentucky Derby Golden Tempo,
00:05which is a great story, female trainer, first time ever, horse was in dead last, obviously makes that great sprint
00:12to the finish line and wins the Kentucky Derby, and it actually pisses me off, I don't know why.
00:19It was announced last night that Golden Tempo is not going to run in the Preakness in two weeks, so
00:27I guess a week from Saturday.
00:2916th, yeah.
00:29Yeah, now, the only reason we care about horse racing is for the Triple Crown, all right?
00:36Now, the Kentucky Derby, you know, the grandfather of them all, the run for the Rose is great, right?
00:40We watch it.
00:41There's two minutes of our lives, we watch it.
00:43Broke a record last week.
00:44Yeah, with viewers, right?
00:45Yeah.
00:45But the reason that America still has a fascination with horse racing is specifically and exclusively because of the Triple
00:55Crown.
00:56There's only been like 11 Triple Crown winners in the history of the world, which is why it's such a
01:01big deal, even for casual fans of the sport or people that have no interest in the sport.
01:06We know the Triple Crown, right?
01:08Mm-hmm.
01:09So, I think it should be a requirement.
01:12If you win the Kentucky Derby, you have to run in the Preakness to be a contractual requirement because now
01:21I don't give a rat's ass about the Preakness.
01:25I don't care about the Belmont, you know, a month and a half from now.
01:29I care about the Triple Crown and when a horse wins the Kentucky Derby and the owner of the horse
01:35then says, whether they know they can't win the Preakness or not, or the win at the Derby was a
01:40fluke, doesn't matter, that we are not going to do what's right for the sport of horse racing.
01:46We're not going to run our guy or gal in the second race.
01:50You are doing tremendous damage to the sport that's a life support anyway.
01:56So, shame on you, the owner of Golden Tempo.
01:59Shame on you, the trainer of Golden Tempo.
02:02What'd she do?
02:02You win the Derby, you get your ass to the Preakness.
02:06Like, you're all going to be shocked and start crying when horse racing completely disappears and nobody gives a rat's
02:13ass about the Derby, the Preakness, or the Belmont, or any other stakes race.
02:18And you're going to be the ones that are solely responsible for the sport disappearing.
02:24And it should be a requirement that if you win the Derby, you show up at the Preakness.
02:30Period.
02:30Stop.
02:31Now, hopefully that does well online.
02:34But, one, what did the trainer do?
02:36It's the owner's call.
02:37The trainer advises the owner.
02:39No, the owner.
02:40I don't think this horse can win at the Preakness.
02:42And the owner can say whatever the owner wants.
02:44The other part is, you know what you didn't think about at all there?
02:47And this speaks to your bloodthirst that we already have talked about.
02:50The bloodthirst from Craig Carton and other New Yorkers.
02:54What if the horse isn't sound?
02:57You can't just put a horse out there if the horse isn't sound.
02:59Then you put the horse down.
03:01No, you don't.
03:01That's what you do.
03:02That's not what you do.
03:03The horse is sound enough to live a life and make many, many babies.
03:07If the horse would possibly break a leg out there in the next race, you're just going to put the
03:12horse out there?
03:13Bloodthirst.
03:14Anybody can get hurt at any time.
03:16But this horse is not going to get hurt at all.
03:17If you tell me the horse had a bad kneecap and he can't run at all?
03:20You don't have the medical on this horse?
03:22Then let's do the right thing.
03:23Put the horse down.
03:24No.
03:25Feed him into some kibble and bits of my dog.
03:28See what I mean?
03:28See what I mean?
03:28And let's just end the sport now.
03:30Bloodthirst.
03:31Yeah.
03:31Bloodthirst.
03:32It's not bloodthirst.
03:32This poor horse.
03:33I'm trying to save the sport.
03:35No, you're not trying to save the sport.
03:36You're trying to kill the horse.
03:37Because you know how the best way to save the horse?
03:39You need great horses.
03:40This guy proven to be a great horse.
03:43Now, what I don't like of what they did, you didn't even say.
03:47You didn't even say the actual issue.
03:49The actual issue is this.
03:50No.
03:51The actual issue is that they don't give a rat's ass about the health of the sport.
03:57And there's going to come a point in our lifetime where horse racing no longer exists.
04:02They've already messed up the odds of the cause as they come out of the gate.
04:07And many people that are very intimately involved in horse racing are livid about how AI is now changing odds
04:13of horses.
04:14Late money is coming in, changing the odds of horses.
04:17In the middle of the race, odds are changing.
04:19It's a major problem in horse racing.
04:21Number two, the only reason that thoroughbreds exist on this planet is for horse racing.
04:26Yeah.
04:27So you're going to get rid of an entire breed of horse.
04:28And if you can't run your horse in the Preakness after winning the Derby, you are killing the sport of
04:36horse racing.
04:37You didn't say the issue.
04:38The sport of kings.
04:38The actual issue is that they say they're going to get ready for the Belmont.
04:43Garbage.
04:43And that's the bad part.
04:44Nobody cares about it.
04:45That's the actual bad part.
04:46It's skipping the Preakness.
04:47If the horse is injured, do not listen to Craig.
04:51The horse is not injured.
04:51And make it mandatory to run because you might kill the horse.
04:55But if you're going to come out and blatantly say, we're going to instead get ready for the third leg,
05:02that then implies the horse isn't hurt.
05:04And that's the problem with what they did.
05:07Yeah.
05:07If they just pulled the horse from the next two, then it could be for injury.
05:12But because you admitted that it was for the Belmont, that's the actual problem.
05:16So now you agree with me.
05:17Bloodthirsty ghoul.
05:18They have completely foobarred the Triple Crown.
05:21They have now made the Preakness unwatchable.
05:24They have now made the Belmont unwatchable because now it's just another race.
05:28I know it's part of the Triple Crown.
05:30You watch the ratings.
05:31They will be non-existent for the Preakness and even worse for the Belmont.
05:35And you can blame Golden Tempo's owner for that.
05:38They've killed the sport of horse racing.
