00:04it's a guaranteed lock this offseason when the competition committee votes they're going to
00:09outlaw the tush push yep that is a guaranteed thing there are only a few votes short last year
00:13and it got passed through it's going to be outlawed but it's being outlawed for the wrong reason
00:19if the NFL is now admitting and acknowledging which it seems like they are that their officials
00:25guys making a couple hundred thousand dollars a year being an NFL official are having a tough time
00:31officiating the play the NFL's answer is well let's just eliminate the play right when the right answer
00:40should be why don't we find better officials who can properly officiate the play but this is typical
00:47NFL hubris because the NFL never does anything wrong they're perfect everyone else we're just
00:53paupers living in their world and that's not the solution the solution to the fact that you have
00:59bad referees who cannot for some reason see an eagle right guard jump before the snap or in this case
01:06you know don't blow a whistle but because they forgot the rules of the sport that they're governing
01:10decide let's screw the Giants on this one not on purpose of course but that's the end result
01:16the Giants got screwed the Giants got screwed on this call and this wasn't like did he foul him or
01:22didn't he foul him this was the dude is still being pushed forward the whistle has not blown yet
01:29and the ball comes loose ball was out and then they tell Brian Dable the head coach of the Giants
01:35oh sorry coach you can't even review it because he's like let's get a review and as soon as you see that
01:42Jaren was still being pushed forward and is stretching for the first down then it's an obvious call
01:46should have been a fumble look I'm not telling you the Eagles lose they're gonna win that game anyway
01:50so did it have an impact on the game it did because it's a close game of that at that point yeah and
01:56then the Eagles ran away with it and just abused the Giants throughout the second half and Jaren
02:00Hurts was fantastic again and Saquon Barkley of course has his best game this year but that's not
02:06the point so when those of you who don't like when we talk about the officials go oh so one bad call
02:13in a 30 point route is gonna make a difference the answer is it might I don't think it would have
02:20I'll agree with that but you just don't know teams play differently when it's a close game
02:26as opposed to when they've got a big lead or you have a big deficit so just because the game then
02:32went the way it went does not mean that that's not a pivotal play Giants get the ball back what if
02:38they go score a touchdown they take the lead right so the reality is this we all know the
02:45push push is going to disappear after this year it is but it'd be nice once in a while for the NFL to
02:50come out and say our guys screwed up you know one of the things I like about the NBA when they released
02:56that the two-minute report and they acknowledge that in the final two minutes of every game what
03:01the referees got right and what the referees got wrong I I like that because it's transparent I know
03:08the NBA is having a tough time right now because of the stuff of last week but I like the transparency
03:13of our referees got it wrong we can't fix it for you but we're going to at least acknowledge that
03:19what you saw with your own two eyes was accurate the NFL's got a hubris that doesn't allow for that
03:26so instead Kayvon Thibodeau is going to be fined for taking a shot after the game at the referees I'm
03:32sure Dable's going to be fine at some point because he's going to say bad things about the refs
03:37but the reality is this if you don't have referees that can properly officiate the most what I think
03:45is the easiest play in the world to officiate because it all happens within about a three yard
03:49uh amount of dirt right yeah then go find officials who can like I'm not asking that much
03:56I don't think NFL fans are asking for that much
