00:06But I did want to talk to you about their pivot, if there was a pivot here, in Ranger Suarez.
00:11So the Red Sox basically, I don't know what else to call it here.

00:17They chose to use the Bregman money, I think, on Ranger Suarez, who becomes their second or third best starter.
00:23The Red Sox rotation right now is as good as any, I think, in the American League.
00:26Crochet, Suarez, Gray, Bayo, Oviedo.
00:29This is really strong, at least to open up the year.
00:31I'm not sure the depth, obviously, beyond that still remains to be seen.
00:36But Philly essentially gave no shot whatsoever to signing Suarez, so he took the best deal, probably the most money, I'm guessing, on the table to Boston.
00:44What did you make of that move?
00:46Yeah, it was interesting, and I think pivot is a fair word.
00:48I thought this was a pivot from Craig Breslow and the Boston Red Sox, and it was a pretty darn good pivot.
00:53And you've got guys, you mentioned unsure of the depth.
00:56The depth looks pretty good.
00:57They got a couple of good ones out of Connelly Early, young left-hander last year, as well as Peyton Toley, who was a breakout prospect for the Boston Red Sox as well.
01:05So those five that you mentioned in Crochet, Suarez, Gray, Bayo, and Oviedo, along with Early and Toley and a couple of other standout pitching prospects, they just got Jake Bennett from Washington.
01:15It seems like starting pitching is not an issue whatsoever.
01:18They wanted Bregman.
01:20That's clear as day.
01:22And I think that that fan base was a little surprised and disappointed that they didn't go and get Alex Bregman and bring him back.
01:29At this point last year, they had Alex Bregman and Rafael Devers.
01:33Now they don't have Alex Bregman or Rafael Devers.
01:36So what's the plan now?
01:38It seems like Marcelo Meyer, a young top prospect, is going to play third base for them pretty much every day.
01:43But you've got Story at short.
01:45Rafael is probably in center.
01:46You have a surplus of outfielders.
01:48Is Duran going to get traded?
01:49Is Willia Abreu going to get traded?
01:51There are still more questions to answer.
01:54So it's a lot like what we were just talking about with the New York Mets.
01:57I know it's late in the offseason.
01:58It's January 20th.
02:00I don't think the offseason is done for the New York Mets.
02:03I also don't think the offseason is done for the Boston Red Sox.
