00:05every day to be more consistent to be more successful to be a better person by starting
00:10the day off with an easy win and new update it's officially five months post acl surgery and i
00:17finally was approved to be able to jog again you have no idea how excited i am and also
00:26how swollen my knee is immediately after i jogged yesterday at the gym my knees swelled up like a
00:35balloon so we have ice pack on we're about to go back to the gym today hit some legs do some back
00:41do some mobility some stretching because yeah i'm just oh man i'm so excited to be back yes it does
00:51hurt uh yes it is uncomfortable but these last five months have all been very uncomfortable with
01:00not being able to run with feeling like i'm dying to feel like i would never be able to walk again
01:06so really excited that we are finally back to jogging they said it would be probably three more
01:14months until i can like jog for long periods of time right now i'm doing a minute on a minute off
01:20and in three months or so i should be able to run or jog i guess for about an hour straight so just
01:28slowly working our way up also big shout out to my uncle he had acl surgery man
01:3630 30 32 years ago 30 34 35 years ago um and i was like man what advice do you
01:50have for me trying to get through this acl recovery and initially when he said his advice i was like
01:57so upset because i was like dude that's not good advice like how is that supposed to help me
02:02his advice was stop worrying about when your leg feels better you're either gonna wake up and it feels
02:09good or you're gonna wake up and it feels bad there's nothing you can do about it so you might as well
02:15not put a time frame on it you might as well not worry too much about it because either you're going
02:23to get better or you're not and he was like there's really nothing you can do about it besides keep on
02:28doing your exercises and just continuously look to the next day not necessarily the time frame don't
02:34look and be like hey it's 11 months i should be healed just like hey tomorrow might be the day that
02:39i wake up and i don't feel pain if it's not hey tomorrow might be the day i wake up and don't feel pain
02:43and initially i was like what kind of terrible advice is that like i need a tangible goal to
02:49shoot for and i woke up two days ago and i was like huh my leg doesn't hurt i woke up today and i was
02:58like huh hurts pretty bad it's real swollen but like every day is a new chapter in the story that
03:06you're writing about your life and how great do you want your story to be do you want it to be
03:12how you were consistently chasing a goal trying to be better trying to improve not be perfect but
03:20how can you be better tomorrow than you were yesterday or how can you be better today than you
03:27were last week i don't know it ended up being pretty good advice big shout out to you uncle bill
