00:00so is this Kevin Stefanski's fault that they invested all this time and money into Deshaun
00:04Watson finally they went away from that this season but the results certainly weren't there
00:09I will say that I think he's okay I do find it odd that he's like super coveted though because
00:14they were involved in so many awful games Jacob and a lot of blowouts too
00:19he was coach of the year a couple times I know that I feel like he'll probably get another gig
00:24somewhere else but I don't know I'm not into the recycling thing I think that some of these
00:30younger teams should go elsewhere but Stefanski probably gets a gig somewhere there's so many
00:34openings he's probably going to get one yeah I think Stefanski is a solid coach I think those
00:39two coach of the years like you mentioned just demonstrate what his ceiling is because those
00:44years he had Baker Mayfield playing at one of his highest levels and during his time with the
00:49Browns and then the other year he had five different starting quarterbacks and really
00:53resurrected Joe Flacco from being coming off the couch to leading one of the more impressive
00:59comeback performances down the stretch by the Browns so I think there's something there with
01:04Stefanski I think he's a good coach I think in a better situation he might be good but again like
01:08you said the Browns kind of put him in a terrible situation at quarterback trading for Deshaun Watson
01:13and paying him that amount of money has been one of the biggest quarterback busts trade busts in NFL
01:18history just he hasn't been good when he's on the field and he's barely been available so Stefanski was kind
01:23of dealt a raw hand in terms of being able to say hey I need to get my guy a quarterback he never
01:28really had that so I'm wondering if he goes to a team with a better quarterback or a young quarterback
01:32with some upside what he could potentially do there but I don't think you're wrong in saying that hey
01:37some of these teams that are looking at Stefanski as an option might need to really think of like
01:41hey do we need a real reset here and just take a big upside swing on a coach or are we looking for
01:47someone more proven who we can say hey with a better roster like Atlanta for example would
01:52Kevin Stefanski be a good fit there I think potentially yes because he could maybe develop
01:56Michael Penix a bit and if Penix he decides isn't the guy they still have Kirk Cousins there who can
02:02just be a serviceable starter but I think Stefanski with a better roster will get a little bit more out
02:07of his offenses but certainly the last two years have left a lot to be desired whether that's on him or the
02:12organizational building there I'm not entirely sure but I kind of lean on the organization
02:17putting him in a terrible spot with that Watson deal
