00:00Just in the last few minutes, Adam, we got official word from Kevin Stefanski.
00:04He told reporters, Shador Sanders is going to be the QB1 for the remainder of the season.
00:09And this is exactly what I was looking for personally.
00:13I don't know how you felt.
00:14My feeling was even opening the season with Joe Flacco and having Kenny Pickett in the
00:20mix early and all.
00:21Like, no, you know, you're the Cleveland Browns.
00:24You got to find out if you need a quarterback in the upcoming draft.
00:27And the only way to do that is to see if you have anything.
00:29And the guys that you just drafted, we've seen Dylan Gabriel.
00:33I feel like we have a sense of what he is.
00:35Now it's time for Shador Sanders to get his run for the rest of the year.
00:39And they can properly evaluate him over a decent sampling size with number ones, which even
00:44in practices, he said he never had.
00:47So what do you think of what we've seen from Shador so far?
00:50All right, Adam.
00:51So here's what I told Craig Mesh, who typically hosts a show.
00:54When Shador is going to start his first game, I said, no matter what happens, he's going
00:58to start the rest of the season, as long as it's not so bad they have to get him out of
01:03there just to save his confidence.
01:06But yeah, his first, the game against the Raiders, not great.
01:09He made a couple throws.
01:10That was really it.
01:11But fast forward to this game, he was really, really good.
01:14And the pass that was so impressive is the touchdown pass to Harold Fannin, the rookie
01:21turn-in from Bowling Green.
01:23He's not a great athlete, but the guy gets open.
01:24He put up huge numbers last year at BG.
01:27So that's what we call, Adam, an anticipation pass.
01:31What he did was he got the ball out as Fannin was inside in his route.
01:35We have to understand that Shador Sanders is not a runner.
01:37He's a drop-back passer.
01:39And you saw that.
01:40Yes, he held on the ball sometimes a little bit too long.
01:43And by the way, the Browns were down two offensive linemen yesterday, so they actually gave him
01:47a pretty good time.
01:48And certainly, you don't run throwing the ball 42 times.
01:52But man, some of the throws he made were spectacular and phenomenal.
01:55And you could build on that.
01:57And obviously, there's no way they're going to Dylan Gabriel.
01:59Dylan Gabriel, I saw him at the Senior Bowl.
02:02He's a smaller quarterback.
02:04He's got good movement.
02:05Decent arm, but he's a smaller guy.
02:07Shadorer is not going to wow you with athleticism.
02:10He's going to wow you with timing and rhythm.
02:12And I thought Stefanski and his staff did a great job, other than two-point conversion,
02:16which I don't, to this second, I just don't understand the point of that type of call.
02:21But I thought Shadorer, Adam, was really, really good.
02:24And you could build on that.
02:26And you make a good point here.
02:29You don't do it where I would, but I would disagree with one thing.
02:33You were not going to start with Shadorer to start the season.
02:35He wasn't ready yet.
02:36You always kind of know, you know what, now it's time to throw the guy in there.
02:40Let's see.
02:40This is the time.
02:42The season's over in terms of making the playoffs.
02:44Get the evaluation and go from there.
