00:00You know, Tyrone, I figured out everything wrong with the NFL, and it's our favorite sport, obviously.
00:06But I figured out all the problems that the NFL has, and it's all encapsulated in one story, okay?
00:12As you're well aware, yesterday, Jordan Schultz, our buddy, our NFL insider, broke the news that Shadur Sanders was now going to be a Pro Bowl quarterback.
00:22Now let that sink in for a second.
00:24Shadur Sanders, seven touchdowns, ten interceptions, is now a Pro Bowl quarterback.
00:32Now, he had, I guess, two votes.
00:34He voted for himself.
00:35That's one vote.
00:36Nobody has any idea who the other vote was, but he got two votes.
00:39So here's what's interesting about it, okay?
00:42There's another AFC quarterback who most people think, according to most polls, is going to be top five in the MVP voting, okay?
00:51And that guy's name is Trevor Lawrence, all right?
00:55Yeah.
00:56Trevor Lawrence threw for 38 touchdowns this year.
00:59Your guy, Shadur Sanders, threw seven, okay?
01:04Trevor Lawrence only had 12 interceptions this year.
01:08Your guy had 10.
01:10It's about a wash, right?
01:11Okay.
01:12And your guy played, obviously, half as many games as Trevor Lawrence did.
01:15Trevor Lawrence threw for over 4,300 yards.
01:19Your guy threw for 400 yards, okay?
01:23Now.
01:24Yeah, I mean, I feel that one feels exaggerated.
01:26The other ones felt real.
01:28That last 400 yards, that didn't feel real.
01:30The other ones did, though.
01:31I was grading down.
01:32It's 483, so I just made it 400.
01:35It's an easy round number for people to digest.
01:37All right?
01:37Okay.
01:38Shadur Sanders' quarterback rating, 18.9.
01:42Trevor Lawrence's was 100 and something, okay?
01:45And then here's the one that gets me the most, all right?
01:47Now, admittedly, I am not a big QBR guy.
01:52It's one of those analytical stats that pisses me off, but I know a lot of people like you
01:56like to reference QBR, quarterback rating, okay?
02:00Yeah.
02:00So, since the turn of the century, since the turn of the century, there have been 696 quarterbacks
02:07with a minimum of 200 pass attempts in a season.
02:11So, that's the line here, okay?
02:14Okay.
02:14Of the 696 quarterbacks that have played quarterback this century with at least 200 pass attempts,
02:22where do you think Shadur Sanders ranks?
02:23And this is not like an opinion-based thing.
02:25These are just numbers, numbers, numbers, numbers.
02:29Out of 696, where do you think he ranks?
02:32I would say he's probably around 690 or worse, if you're bringing it up.
02:38Yes.
02:38Great guess.
02:39You know me well.
02:41692nd out of 696.
02:45So, effectively, we can say, all opinion aside, all rooting interests aside, all personal feelings
02:52aside, that since the turn of the century, Shadur Sanders is one of, if not the worst quarterback
02:59to ever play NFL football.
03:01Fair to say?
03:03I mean, if going by those stats that you should.
03:05Yes.
03:06Sure.
03:06Go ahead.
03:07So, how in the world does the NFL or the NFLPA celebrate and embrace the worst quarterback
03:16to play football in the history of the 21st century, or, yeah, that's right, 21st century,
03:24right?
03:24Yeah, 21st century.
03:26I got that right.
03:26I got that right.
03:28How do we embrace the fact that the worst statistical quarterback in the 21st century is now a pro bowler?
03:37Walk me through that, because I can't figure it out.
03:39Yeah, I'll tell you.
03:39Well, number one, tell Trevor Lawrence and these other guys to stop being so damn boring.
03:44I'll tell you why I made it, because the fans love to talk about Shadur Sanders.
03:49Yeah, why not?
03:49Now, should they?
03:50Can't play.
03:51They like talking about him.
03:52We don't know if he can play yet, but he didn't play well enough to make the pro ball
03:56if you want to base it on merit.
03:57But it is also no longer a game.
04:00It's a skill competition where they do interviews and they talk and they do a bunch of, they
04:04do tug of war and they throw through tires and do all that stuff.
04:09Trevor Lawrence is mad boring.
04:11I'm sorry.
04:12Yes, he's a very good quarterback.
04:13He had a really, you know, Cohen really got the best out of him.
04:16He had a bounce back here.
04:17Looks like he might be as good as the first pick overall.
04:20Maybe he'll be good, but he's boring.
04:22Okay.
04:22A lot of these other quarterbacks are boring.
04:25Shadur Sanders is never boring.
04:27If you ask me if it's an exhibition, just an exhibition, who I'd rather see, Trevor the
04:33boring lurch man Lawrence or Shadur, I'm picking Shadur 100 times out of 100 because it's
04:40more fun.
04:41So if you want to base it on the merits and people want to look at the Pro Bowl like it's
04:44a real thing, by all means, be bothered by it.
04:47But if you're looking for an event that's fun, if you're looking for something to do in that
04:51week in between the Super Bowl and the conference championship games, who better?
04:56Who's going to get more people talking?
04:58More people going like you.
04:59If they named Trevor Lawrence, you would not have brought it up.
05:02In fact, one of the producers would have brought it up and you would have quickly said, nah,
05:06don't care about that.
05:07That's right.
05:07Because it's Shadur, we're talking about it.
05:10And the NFL knows that because he's exciting and these other guys are boring.
