00:00Hey everyone, what's going on? Greg here again from Team Blast. I've been working with an HVAC
00:03company. They're in Grand Junction, Colorado. I've been able to improve their keyword rankings
00:08for HVAC and related keywords like HVAC Grand Junction, which resulted in a 64% increase in
00:14phone calls for their business in September. So this view here is every scan I run for their
00:18business for HVAC Grand Junction, Local Falcon will save the share of local voice ranking for
00:24them. So before, back in June, they were below 10% of the time in a 15 mile radius and 121 possible
00:30dots that they were on page one for that keyword. Now it's 22.31% of the time. This view is a little
00:37bit harder to see, but one thing I like about Local Falcon is that it will show me the top
00:41competitors for that particular keyword of who's competing exactly in that radius that I'm running
00:46scans for. What stands out to me is that I'm taking share away from the green line. The green line,
00:51the very top, that is the top competitor. Google only displays three organic map pack listens on
00:56page one. So you had to take share away from a competitor for you to get onto page one and to get
01:00more dots flipped in your direction. So I'm already able to see different competitors who I'm taking
01:04share away from. Again, that's helping my client get more phone calls for HVAC and related projects.
01:09And there's other keywords growing as well. I track a handful of terms, but another one is just simply
01:13HVAC. So again, where we were compared to where we are now, we're just under the 20, actually if you
01:19roundup, we're at 20% now for the term HVAC. So that's another term that's also growing.
01:23So there's other keywords too, like HVAC near me, HVAC company, HVAC contractor. Of course,
01:29we have HVAC, HVAC grand junction. So all these keywords, as long as they're all growing in the
01:33same direction, that's what's going to lead to more high quality impressions, website clicks,
01:38and phone calls because now you're on page one. So you're getting the majority now of the
01:41impressions and website clicks and phone calls to your business. And again, I kind of explained this
01:45before because we have the better rankings, which started in August and continued and kept growing
01:50in September. And actually even October now is pretty strong too. Phone calls were significantly
01:56up. We were up 64% in phone calls from the better rankings. So again, this translated when I talked
02:01with my client about this, they're getting more leads for HVAC because of the better organic rankings
02:06for their business. So tips to rank better. This isn't specific just to HVAC, but I wanted to kind of
02:13explain what I do. And then maybe this might give you some tips of what you can do for your
02:16business. So to start, I talk about this all the time. I think Local Falcon is great for this because
02:21you can run scans and it will save the previous scan you did. So you can always go back in time
02:26and say, okay, we were at a 4% of the time on page one for the term HVAC. Say we're at a 20%. And then
02:31you can match that with the Google business profile numbers and say, yep, I'm getting more phone calls.
02:35I'm getting more keywords triggering my account, which is then leading to more leads for my business
02:40and potential sales as well, or customers from the better rankings. Number two, Local Falcon will
02:47show you the top competitor. So I mentioned that Greenland competitor. That's who I really had to
02:50focus on. I had to take a little bit of share away from them. Local Falcon will show me who's the top
02:54competitors for that keyword. I can go into their profile and get some ideas, maybe some secondary
02:58categories. Maybe it's a review gap. Maybe it is question to answer gaps. Maybe it's how often have we
03:06uploaded new photos. There's a lot of things I can gather from that to get a competitor advantage
03:10against them. Next, we can update the description. So I talk about this all the time. Sometimes with
03:15the description of Google business profile, it's very wordy. For my clients, I really try to get
03:19very specific and try to include the primary keyword into the first sentence if I can, just to
03:24reiterate the point of Google and also the users. We are an HVAC company. Next on their website, I created
03:29a handful of HVAC specific web pages to connect directly to Google business profile. What my clients do,
03:35and also this is number five, is that they get Google reviews. Google reviews are a ranking factor,
03:40but they're not as significant as some other factors because sometimes reviews can be gamed a
03:47little bit. But they do get reviews, they do respond to their reviews, and they have a very strong
03:51rating. So I think those are social proofs that Google looks at because dwell time when people
03:56are spending more time on their profile, probably reading the reviews leads to a more high-quality
04:00visitor or somebody who's going to then call the business because they see the better reviews.
04:05Next, I create updates on a weekly basis talking about HVAC projects. They've done both residential
04:11and commercial. I share photos of what the team is doing. Again, these are engagement signals. I think
04:15this is what's helping rank us better. And number seven, you can expand the question and answers
04:19directly on Google business profile. Talk about HVAC. You can talk about different cities you do.
04:24You can talk about, do you do emergency HVAC? There's a lot of things you can go with that. You can also
04:30then add those questions directly to your website. One tip is you can use something like
04:34ChatGBT. If you're trying to come up with ideas, come up with some new questions and answers around
04:38HVAC. Talk with your client and see if they want to include that or not on their Google business
04:42profile. But really, just in summary, I want to go back over here. This is what you like to see.
04:48You like to see consistent growth for your keywords. So for them, HVAC Grand Junction is improving in
04:54their share of local voice, which is then leading to more high-quality impressions and then leading to
04:58more phone calls. And that's why September they're up 64% of the time compared to where they were
05:02a previous year in September for phone calls because we're ranking much better now for HVAC.
