00:00Like, we're going to start with one that we know a little bit about the inspiration here. It's Tiger Woods signature shot shape. Here's the thing I love that you noted earlier, Augie, is that you can take the player feedback and adjust the holes in a way that in real life, it would cost millions of dollars, right?
00:19And TGL world, just take this back to the coder or the graphic design team and say, hey, move this giant rock structure around. And we're going to show you the flat overhead view here to look at Augie's design notes for Stinger.
00:32But then we're going to roll in some video and you can just see, I mean, I just want to know where you came up with this, Augie.
00:37The feverish dream that contributed to this shot shape off the tee where you have to just drive it low or hit this high hook around it. It's brilliant and it's delightful. So walk us through Stinger here.
00:49Thank you. When I first got the call from TGL, obviously being, you know, Rory McIlroy, Mike McCarley and Tiger Woods behind all this, the number one, one of the initial thoughts was how in my world,
01:09how can I give back to somebody like Tiger Woods that has given to the golf, to the golf world a lot, knowing or not knowing he's, he's, he's done it for years across the board.
01:25So how can we, how can I give back or we as, as beside golf give back? And, uh, and we, we started to analyze some beautiful heroic shots that he's had over, over the years.
01:39See how, what, what can we do? Well, around the green, it's going to be tough because it's a set green. Uh, he would, he would have to really land on that part of the green to do something magical there.
01:50Um, and then it was down the list. It was the Stinger like, yes, why not? Let's play with the Stinger. Let's ask the players for the Stinger. Let that be a shot.
02:02It was, it was the first hole that was not completely open to wherever you could, whatever you want to do. Uh, it was, it's just one that is asking you for that shot.
02:15And, and, and, and with that, I had to create, I, I, we had to create the landform. So where, where could we, one of the things that we, even though we like to get Fantasias, one of the things that we like to do or, or, or want to do is also kind of like take it down to earth.
02:36And, and, and, and where would this be situated if it ever existed? So, and the, in, in, in places like Idaho or Utah, where you have these, these landforms could be, or at least we can break into it and kind of like do it. No.
02:53So, so, so that's, that's how it started. Uh, uh, and, and it was, and it's an ode to Tiger Woods to, in a way, help immortalize, which he has done, he has done, uh, a golf, you know, his, his, his go-to signature or one of them, signature shots and, uh, and pay respects to, uh, to Tiger.
03:19And that's, that's what we did there, or that's what we're trying to do, um, uh, to ask the rest of the gang to, uh, to, uh, you know, go out there and, and try it and play the stinger and, uh, and, and, and, and, and pay a little, pay, pay some respect to, uh, to, to Tiger Woods.
03:41I say, well, let's say Augie, you, you don't have the stinger, you don't have the shot. So it looks like you're, you're given a potentially an option to hit a little short, short iron out there to the right.
03:51But I see that big structure. That's that horseshoe rock that also would potentially be a factor if, as a, uh, uh, uh, either be blind or actually in the way, if you played it out to the right.
04:03So then you have that, uh, rock structure that comes into play on second shots too. So I think the whole is fabulous. Make these guys hit, hit more than just stock shots. I think too often last year, when I watched that guys were just pounding drivers and just hitting like simple wedge shots.
04:19I think the more that you have to play creative shots and actually hit different trajectories, you'll see these players really start to, uh, have some more fun with just the, the craziness of what I think this, this league should be all about, which is imagining the unimaginable. And that's what you created here.
04:38I love that. Yes. Thank you very much. And yes, you have that alternative. Let's say, okay, I'm not going to do it or, you know, I don't have that in my bag.
04:47Then, then you can opt for a high trajectory, uh, work the ball from right to left. But of course the front parts of that landing area is moving away from your shot. So, uh, so that, that's going to be exciting to see that, uh, that pattern on, on, uh, on how it, how it evolves and what, what the choice of, um, of shot, um, somebody's going to, well, you know, somebody's going to have.
05:15So I think it's going to be exciting. I hope so. Again, there's this uncertainty.
05:21No, not this one. I'm going to tell you right now, there is no uncertainty here. You put your head on the pillow at night and you know, that stinger is a perfect golf hole for TGL.
