00:00Wesley, how did this all come about?
00:02You, George, and Grant, of course, are leading this endeavor.
00:07Yeah, we've been kicking the tires.
00:09I feel like there's been rumblings of it and people trying to do it for the last couple years.
00:14I know we personally, we've gone down some roads trying to explore to see what it would look like.
00:20And just with all the momentum in the space, kind of the point in time we're at right now,
00:25and all of the YouTube golf shifting a little bit more competitive,
00:30as you've seen in our major cut series and a lot of these bigger collaborations,
00:36and even the Internet Invitational or like we've done a couple skins games.
00:42We've done, George and I have started a 1v1 series with some significant stakes on the line.
00:47And it just feels like the next progression of where YouTube golf is going.
00:53Because we know, again, despite what golf Twitter says,
00:57there is an appetite online for us to compete and have some stakes on the line and be able to
01:04go out there.
01:05Again, it's going to be a bunch of people that have played competitive golf pretty much their whole life at
01:10various levels.
01:11But it's just the time is now for us to go and create it.
01:16And so probably a year ago, we started some pretty serious conversations like internally saying,
01:22I think we need to do this.
01:23This is where the YouTube golf can go to continue to elevate the product.
01:30And we kind of had our first phone call with the win over this opportunity of just building a championship.
01:37And at that point, it got pretty serious.
01:39We're like, hey, you know what, let's build a little bit more of an organized structure where we compete.
01:44And then all roads can kind of lead to the win at the end.
01:47So it's come together.
01:50I'm not going to say quick, because, again, it's been I've been three years straight of notes out,
01:56diving into creatives, how we can bring everybody together.
01:59And I feel like we've landed on something that's pretty cool.
02:01Well, when I saw you guys on a flight the other day, I guess this was heading to Phoenix and
02:07you're eventually heading to Vegas.
02:09And you said, yeah, we're kind of up to something.
02:11Just be on the lookout.
02:12Well, this was that.
02:13Here we are.
02:14We have you got your own your own tour.
02:16You guys are starting.
02:17Can you just kind of walk me through what the tour is and who can compete and how many events
02:23there are?
02:24Yeah.
02:24So year one, this is going to be our first one.
02:27We're going to start filming in the next couple of months and we're going to have a handful of events
02:31on the docket right now.
02:33It's going to be four kind of marquee events with the final one being at the win.
02:38And we're going to have as far as who is competing, it's going to be very, very high level golf.
02:44There's not going to be any strokes that are given.
02:46There's going to be no handicaps.
02:47It's all going to be people that are playing straight up golf from the same tees and competitive through and
02:53through.
02:54Just like what I've and you have loved about the game of golf for a lot of years, which, again,
02:59our careers kind of went away from a traditional competitive sense.
03:05But we have got pretty much anybody that's a content creator here year one.
03:10And then everybody's floating into the content creation space.
03:16You've seen the Jason Days and the Tommy Fleetwoods and the Phil Mickelsons and Bryson DeChambeau's, even Akshay a couple
03:22years ago, just dabbling in this digital golf space.
03:26And so we know that there are some high level people that want to chase the content creation space.
03:34And so that's going to be the core of it.
03:36Who's to say next year as we evolve, like this is going to be a year after year thing that
03:43as we gain momentum, we'll continue to grow.
03:46And I'll go and say it.
03:49We're probably going to do Q schools.
03:51We might host some tryouts, if you will, or Monday qualifiers or however it may be to continue to evolve,
03:59because the feedback that we've gotten thus far away from Twitter has been, I can't even tell you how many
04:05DMs and text messages that we've gotten from current tour players, from a bunch of people that are chasing it
04:12at the mini tour level to all sorts of content creators out there around the world.
04:18The interest is, and again, this is only, we're less than 24 hours into the announcement of this thing.
04:23And we're obviously, we know that we have to put out a good product for it to continue to evolve,
04:31but we've got a pretty good roadmap.
