00:00I wish to signal quite clearly to the current Prime Minister of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
00:08that we win the election on January the 12th.
00:12We get sworn in at least by Thursday of that week according to the law.
00:19By Friday morning we're swearing secretaries.
00:22And by Monday, Monday the 19th of January we are going to the House to say
00:31whether our office is in South or in Port of Spain
00:34to say now is the time to go back to the Parliament with Tobago's autonomy bill
00:40and it must reflect what the people of Tobago want.
00:44Mr. Agustin's comments come on the heels of him being left out of information
00:50regarding the military radar installed at the new A&R Robinson International Airport.
00:57Prime Minister Kamala Passat-Bissessa later stated
01:00Mr. Agustin was not told of the installation
01:03due to him not being on the National Security Council.
01:08Next year has to be the year we get it done appropriately.
01:10All this talk about national security could have been fixed a long, long time ago.
01:18should have been fixed a long, long time ago.
01:21There shouldn't be a question in anybody's mind about whether a chief sec
01:25should be advised or not advised on matters of national security
01:30as it relates to Tobago.
01:33But many have played football with our future.
01:37Mr. Agustin said there would be no retreat, no surrender on the matter.
01:42There shall be no compromise on that whatsoever.
01:45And yes, the Prime Minister has given her commitment in that regard.
01:51But I've heard sweeter birds sing sweeter songs.
01:56We have been trying at this for the longest while.
02:00And I'm saying quite clearly that next year must be the year
02:05that we get it done appropriately.
