Colin Kaepernick's life is being turned into a Netflix series, Sacha Baron Cohen appeared to make a secret appearance pranking a Conservative rally in Washington and ABC has passed on the pilot for the 'Thirtysomething' sequel.

00:00Here are today's top stories. First, Colin Kaepernick's life is being turned into a Netflix series.
00:05The athlete and activist is teaming up with Ava DuVernay for a scripted limited drama titled Colin in Black and White.
00:11THR's Neha Joy has more.
00:13The six-episode drama, which has been picked up straight to series at Netflix, will examine Kaepernick's youth,
00:17focusing on his high school years and the acts and experiences that led him to become the activist he is today.
00:23Kaepernick will appear as himself as the narrator of the series,
00:26which will cast an actor to play the younger version of the star quarterback.
00:29Kaepernick himself spoke out about the upcoming project, saying,
00:32Next, Sacha Baron Cohen appeared to make a secret appearance pranking a conservative rally in Washington
00:54and encouraging attendees to sing along to racially insensitive lyrics.

01:00The council member claims the comedian came on stage disguised as a lead singer for a band and sang racist, hateful lyrics.
01:07In videos posted of the performance online, the performer could be overheard singing lyrics such as,
01:12quote, Obama, what we gotta do? Inject him with the Wuhan flu.
01:15And, quote, Corona is a liberal hoax, as he encouraged the audience to sing along.
01:19Though it's unknown as to whether the singer was truly Baron Cohen,
01:22the prank would not mark the first that the comedian has managed to pull off.
01:26Reps for Cohen did not respond to THR's request for comment.
01:29And finally, in TV news, ABC has passed on the pilot for the 30-something sequel.
01:34The Disney-owned network passed on two other pilots on Monday,
01:37the Greg Berlanti-produced Brides of Dracula drama The Brides,
01:40and the Jason Lee comedy Valley Trash.
01:42Moving forward at the network are the Katie Seagal-starring Aaron Brockovich-inspired drama Rebel,
01:46the Topher Gray single-cam show Home Economics,
01:48and the show Work Wife, inspired by the partnership of producers Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest,
01:54along with two other shows.
