00:11The Anchorman actors are set to star in

00:13and executive produce a dark comedy limited series

00:15titled The Shrink Next Door.

00:17The show, which is based on the 2019 Wondery

00:20and Bloomberg Media Podcast of the same name,

00:22will be shopped to premium cable networks like HBO

00:25and streamers like Netflix

00:27by producers Media Rights Capital.

00:29Based on the podcast, which was inspired by true events,

00:31The Shrink Next Door follows the bizarre relationship

00:34between psychiatrist of the stars,

00:36Dr. Isaac Ike Hershkov, played by Rudd,

00:39and his longtime patient, Martin Marty Markovitz,

00:41played by Ferrell.

00:43During the course of their relationship,

00:44the all-too-charming Ike slowly takes over Marty's life,

00:47even moving into Marty's home

00:49and taking over his family business.

00:51Paul Rudd playing all-too-charming?

00:53Seems like a stretch.

00:54As for the two stars, Rudd is fresh off

00:56of a Golden Globe nomination for season one

00:58to the Netflix comedy Living With Yourself,

01:01on which he played twins.

01:02The Avengers Endgame actor will next be seen

01:04in Jason Reitman's Ghostbusters Afterlife,

01:06due out July 10th.

01:08Whoa, killer replica.

01:13Ferrell, for his part, spent seven seasons on SNL

01:16and counts Features, Elf, Step Brothers,

01:18and Stranger Than Fiction among his long list of credits.

01:21This would be his first TV series regular gig since SNL.

01:24He can currently be seen starring in theaters in Downhill.
