Transcript
00:00It looks like social media was not having it with James Corden's latest
00:12Crosswalk the Musical stunt with his Cinderella co-stars Camila Cabello, Billy
00:16Porter and Idina Menzel. A clip of Corden and his co-stars in full Cinderella garb
00:21stopping LA traffic and filming what looked like a flashbob segment of
00:25Crosswalk the Musical for The Late Late Show was uploaded to Twitter over the
00:29weekend and it went viral for all the wrong reasons. At one point a fully
00:33committed Corden dressed as a rat can be seen thrusting his pelvis at the car
00:37while singing the chorus to Jennifer Lopez's Let's Get Loud.
00:41The moment as well as Corden ended up trending all over Twitter and judging by
00:47the tweets that followed the clip, which has been viewed over 18 million times, the
00:51reaction has been overwhelmingly negative and reignited a debate about Corden's
00:56popularity. We will not forgive the UK for James Corden, one Twitter user wrote while
01:01another wrote, what did we as a nation do to James Corden that he will not let us be?
01:06Other users were not as tame in their judgment with one user writing, James
01:10Corden always looks like he's trying to prove he's the most fun guy to be around,
01:13but the darkness in his eyes betrays him. And another wrote, it might be rash to call
01:18this the worst thing I've ever seen, but I'm trying to think of something worse and coming up dry.
01:23Corden, a producer as well as a co-star in Amazon's Cinderella, which debuts on September 3rd,
01:28has often produced hit viral sensation segments for his popular late night show,
01:32such as Carpool Karaoke and Crosswalk the Musical, although it looks like viewers might be passing on
01:38this one. For more on the story, head to THR.com. And for the latest entertainment news and updates,
