00:25It's unclear whether a cast or crew member contracted the virus,
00:29but they are currently isolating. This marks the second shutdown since Thursday,
00:33which also saw production halted for 24 hours following a positive COVID test from a crew
00:38member. After testing positive, the crew member was isolated while everyone else working on the
00:42series was tested. At the time, no cast members had been affected and production was back underway
00:47on Friday. Bridgerton is produced by Shondaland through Household Pictures in the UK, where
00:52cases involving the Delta variant of coronavirus are currently surging. Season 2 comes after the
00:57series was a breakout hit for Netflix, recently earning 12 Emmy nominations, including nods for
01:02Outstanding Drama and leading actor for Regé-Jean Page, who played the popular Duke of Hastings.
01:08The Regency-era show serves as Shonda Rhimes' first scripted series under her original Netflix deal.
