00:00I don't know what I want. I know this arrangement works for me.
00:06FX wants more Atlanta. Ahead of its third season, Donald Glover's Emmy-winning comedy series has scored an early Season 4 renewal at the cable network.
00:15Production on Seasons 3 and 4 will begin next spring and film back-to-back, taking advantage of the opening in Glover's crazy schedule.
00:30So yes, by the time production begins on Atlantis Season 3, the show will have been off the air for two years.
00:35A premiere time frame for Seasons 3 and 4 has not yet been determined. Glover, of course, has been seriously busy with a Grammy-winning EP and starring in and producing his own short film,
00:44Guava Island, and voicing Simba in Disney's remake of The Lion King, and portraying a young Lando Calrissian in Solo A Star Wars Story, and going on his This Is America tour.
00:52Don't catch your slipping now. Look what I'm whipping now. This is a miracle.
00:57Talk about being booked and busy. Now, Atlanta was originally expected to return in time for the 2019 Emmy eligibility window,
01:04but FX CEO John Landgraf announced in February that it wouldn't make that time frame. He said at the time,
01:10As you might imagine, Donald Glover is sort of the king of all media, and he just has had an incredibly complicated life.
01:17One of the things that is just a reality of television today is you have to wait.
01:20Why would anyone even do that?
01:23To prevent black people from coming to and or registering to vote in Florida.
01:27Come on.
01:27Of course.
