The creator behind the 'Star Wars' show notes postproduction is on schedule for an October launch on Disney+.

00:00Great news Star Wars fans, while the coronavirus pandemic shut down film and TV productions around
00:10the world, The Mandalorian remains on track to debut season 2 in October on Disney+.
00:15Executive producer Jon Favreau said during a virtual panel for the ATX Television Festival,
00:20we were lucky enough to have finished photography before the lockdown.
00:23Thanks to how technology forward Lucasfilm and ILM are, we have been able to do all of
00:27our visual effects and editing and post-production remotely through systems that had been set up for us by those companies.
00:32The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal as a mysterious bounty hunter inhabiting the Star Wars galaxy.
00:41Favreau noted that due to the rigors of the TV schedule, season 2 feels like a continuation of season 1 rather than a new thing.

00:57Disney Plus does not release viewership data, but the first season of The Mandalorian made a major splash on the pop culture landscape.
01:04The Child, aka Baby Yoda, became a surprise breakout character, and Disney's Bob Iger has noted the show will go beyond season 2
