00:00One of the biggest games on the slate.
00:02It has huge implications for a college football playoff appearance.
00:06We talked about Oklahoma's performance last week against Missouri.
00:10They held Bo Pabrula in that offense in check, shut down Ahmad Hardy.
00:14They ran away with it at home, especially in the second half, 17-6.
00:19They cover as a 5.5-point home favorite.
00:21They're now open coach.
00:23As a 10.5-point home favorite over LSU,
00:27LSU struggled mightily against Western Kentucky.
00:31They laid 21.5.
00:32They were on life support in the fourth quarter,
00:35pulled the game out 13-10.
00:37They still have no offensive identity.
00:39When Michael Van Buren taking over for Garrett Nussmeyer,
00:43can't run the football consistently.
00:45And that front seven for OU holding opposing offenses
00:49to only 2.5 yards per carry,
00:51I think Oklahoma wins the game and makes the college football playoff.
00:57Yeah, the 10 points, I don't bother me at all.
00:59I mean, they beat Missouri,
01:01which has a better football team right now than LSU by 11.
01:05You've got LSU who scored one touchdown against Western Kentucky.
01:10The quarterback is not the answer.
01:12He's just something they've moved to late in the season
01:15to try to generate some excitement in their fans and in their season.
01:19But he really offers no real answer to their offensive problems.
01:23They don't run the ball very well.
01:25Now, their defense at LSU plays well,
01:27and I think they'll keep this game close.
01:30But 10 points, I think Oklahoma pulls away in the second half.
01:35And, you know, John Matera finds just enough way to run the football,
01:38be productive, and manage the offense enough to make them good on offense.
01:43Not great, but very good on offense.
01:45And when you play great defense and you're good on offense
01:48and your quarterback is a good manager,
01:50I think that's an ingredient to a postseason team.
01:53So, I think Oklahoma will have no trouble winning at the end of the game,
01:57stretching it in the fourth quarter, and winning by 10 points against LSU.
02:02Now, if we're talking defense for Blake Baker and the LSU Tigers,
02:06we have talked about it for the past couple of seasons.
02:09They do struggle with mobile quarterbacks.
02:12They got abused by Trinidad Chambliss, Marcel Reed.
02:15Talon Green had some yards in the loss to the Tigers just a couple of weeks ago, 23-22.
02:23This could be a game where Matera not only attacks LSU over the top,
02:27but with his legs in this game to potentially pull out the victory.
02:31Yeah, I mean, hey, I mean, they may win 17-9 or 17-10,
02:37but they're going to win by two scores, by 10 points.
02:40I think LSU has the defense, but Baker has done a good job,
02:44and they can keep the score down of Oklahoma.
02:47If Oklahoma has one weakness, I don't think they can be explosive on offense
02:51and put tons of points on there.
02:53With a great defense, you don't have to be,
02:55but I don't believe LSU has any offensive ability
02:59to get this into any kind of scoring match,
03:01and I just think Oklahoma doesn't need to score a lot of points to win by 10.
03:06So, let's get started.
