00:00I'm a little stunned that the Tide are only five and a half point favorites against an Oklahoma

00:04team that has been opportunistic and winning these like close games but I don't know they

00:09really just haven't shown all that much like I don't think they're a championship contender

00:12total is 46 and a half it's a 330 eastern game in Tuscaloosa but sometimes when I look at these

00:19lines I say to myself I must be missing something here because I I honestly feel like Tennessee may

00:24be better than Oklahoma but yet the Tide have been bigger favorites over a lot of other teams

00:28can the Sooners defense keep them in this game is that why the line is what it is

00:32I mean you hit it on the nail I heard somebody and this is not some great prophecy necessarily but

00:38somebody that I was visiting with we are so back said the SEC man they got a lot of really good

00:43teams but they don't have any great teams so I think there's a lot of teams bunched together

00:47and I think the tightness of this line comes down to Oklahoma's defense I mean Alabama will face very

00:52few opponents this year that can pressure the quarterback to the extent that the Sooners can

00:58I did see their top defensive end for Oklahoma our Mason Thomas on the availability report I can't

01:05remember what his status was I think he'll play but he must be a little bit banged up but man this

01:09Alabama team since opening with the almost inexplicable loss at Florida State 31 to 17

01:16they've just been rolling you know we're here two and a half months later and their debacle in the

01:22opening game kind of seems like a distant memory a lot of it due to the play of their first year

01:27starting quarterback Ty Simpson he's been an absolute marksman he's completed 67 percent of

01:32his throws 8.3 yards per attempt 21 touchdowns against just a single interception taking care of the

01:40football he's got a embarrassment of riches at wide receiver with Ryan Williams and Jeremy Bernard

01:45leading the charge and now he's kind of identified another weapon tied in Josh Cuevas he's really come

01:51along the last few weeks had four catches against 58 for 58 yards rather in the victory over LSU last

01:59week 20 to 9 so Cuevas is giving Simpson another opportunity another target there and I just like

02:06this Alabama team and John Mateer the quarterback for Oklahoma I'll throw this in there real quick

02:10injured against Auburn in week four had that right thumb surgery I'm not sure if he's returned totally

02:17to 100 percent he just doesn't look quite like himself did have a good game against Tennessee

02:22running and throwing the football but I still like Alabama here minus six at Bryant didn't stadium
