00:23As you can tell by the turkeys behind me, Thanksgiving is upon us once again, so happy Thanksgiving.
00:34Well, as you know, it's traditional to have a nice turkey, but you know what?
00:38Dessert is pumpkin pie. Pumpkin pie.
00:43And this year I'm going to be making a pumpkin pie from scratch using actual pumpkins.
00:50And the first thing you got to do is you got to make some pumpkin puree.
00:54So let's get ready to make this pumpkin puree.
00:58Okay, the first step is we got to cut these pumpkins.
01:01And these are sugar pumpkins, also known as pie pumpkins.

03:45After we get the pumpkin together, we put them on this cookie sheet with some parchment paper.
03:54And we poke some holes in it.
03:55Just to let the air escape the steam when we're cooking it.
04:03And we're cooking it at 350 for about 50 minutes.
04:08Just so the skin gets soft.

04:20And we put this in the oven for 50 minutes at 350.
04:24So, Alexa, set a timer for 50 minutes.

04:31All right, we just took it out of the oven.
04:35I thought I had the recording here filmed, but I didn't.
04:39I didn't hit the record button correctly.
04:41So, we've just taken it out of the oven and we're going to let this cool off for about 30 minutes.
04:49All right, now that this is cool, let's grab our pumpkin like this.
04:55And we'll put it into the blender.

05:01We basically have to remove the skin.
