00:34again, yes. And you know, it's time to start getting some stews and soups. And I was sent
00:40this one by David Crider. It's called a cholan, or cholan. And it's a beef stew. It's a type of
00:50beef stew that is often cooked on the Sabbath. It's cooked slow in a crockpot. And it's rich
01:00and hearty soup that takes hours to cook. So we're going to start this up. And we're going
01:06to cook this and we're going to see just how it comes out. So let's, we'll peel these potatoes
01:11up. La, la, la, peeling the potatoes. La, da, da, da, da, da. Peel the potatoes, peel the

03:15all right next step is we're going to put in an onion i got this nice big ass onion
03:22this sweet onion i think how sweet it is so let's peel the onion

04:00pull that part off all right and now we have to slice the onion

04:19and here we go our onion is nice and sliced here we go we'll take the onion put these slices into

05:02oh trying to get the right shot it's not easy sometimes all right yeah I've got a little
05:12blood on the air what the fuck it makes it a heartier stew all right we got our stew meat in

05:25la la la la right now we put in our spices believe me I'm gonna be spicing this bitch up
05:35all right uh now he gave me a couple different spices to use he uses uh turmeric which I don't
05:42have but he mentions garlic powder so let's throw in some garlic powder
05:47uh let's throw in uh some lemon pepper

06:01of course you better believe we're gonna throw in some accent

06:34we'll toss in a little bit of cumin

06:51a little bit of thyme
07:02we don't have too much time on our hands but hey when you're cooking something for at least eight
07:10hours you need uh some time I'll put in some herbs of provance whatever hell that is
07:17I just had it in my spice cabinet use it for something
07:20uh we'll throw in a little bit of uh rosemary
07:30a little chili powder he mentions a little chili powder put in there

08:05and there we go we're nice and spiced
08:07now I like throwing some uh carrots into uh my stew so let's put in uh some nice carrots

08:26uh and uh david mentions he did this so you know I'm gonna do it he sometimes tosses some hot dogs
08:35into his uh stew so let's get some hot dogs in uh
08:39oh yeah hot dogs in stew I've never thought of that before but hey david pretter you know uh thank you again for that recipe
08:50he does it so let's cut up some hot dogs we'll use our kitchen sears to cut these up
08:58that's a little bit of cut up hot dog here in there
09:17this is gonna be quite the stew don't you think

09:26all right
09:32now we'll throw in uh some uh between a half a bag of barley
09:41so let's get this barley in here
09:48you don't want to

09:54uh and this bag of mixed beans
09:58get ready to turn this crock pot on
10:27all right we got everything in the crock pot now we have to put in uh
10:32the beef broth
10:34so let's toss in the beef broth
10:39we also put some water in we have to basically have to cover it
10:48so let's uh toss in some water too just make sure everything is covered up
10:54there it is there it is and there it is all right i'm gonna toss in some bouillon cubes
11:12and then basically we close it up and uh we'll see how it looks in
11:18about eight hours so wow it's gonna be a long time i'm going to a devil game
11:24i'm gonna uh hang up some decorations uh straighten some things out
11:30you know i'm reorganizing some of my bobble heads you know
11:33you can have a complete day yeah that's right i'm gonna throw in about
11:37six uh six bouillons
11:40all right oh and there's one more
11:43thing he says to do so i'll do that in a minute
11:47so let me put in these uh help these uh six bouillon cubes
11:53it's gonna be quite the stew don't you think
11:57quite the stew he says cook it at least eight hours sometimes you cook it even longer
12:02that's gonna be interesting well
12:05it's currently 10 o'clock so we'll see how it looks at uh you know what i'll
