00:00All right, it's your week 13, London, in the locker room with Captain Bobby, Bobby O, Bobby O'Carake here.
00:05We always start these segments off by asking you guys, you got to show us something in the locker that's a must-have,
00:12whether you're stunting on us or you're putting us on to some game. What do you have for us, sir?
00:16I'll put you on game a little bit. You know, we got some non-toxic lotions, so no parabens, no sulfates,
00:24cruelty-free, gluten-free, vegan, so, you know, you put lotion on your body every day,
00:28so keep those non-toxic chemicals off you.
00:31Parabens, sulfates, all those other toxins that I can't even pronounce right now,
00:36but it's all about looking clean, feeling clean, looking good.
00:39All right, obviously got to ask you about the elephant in the room.
00:43Shane Bowen, defense coordinator, was fired.
00:46Kind of what was your initial reaction, and what's the adjustment going to be like for you,
00:50the captain of this defense now working with Coach Bullen?
00:55Yeah, obviously all of us have an extreme amount of respect and appreciation for Coach Shane.
01:00Works extremely hard.
01:01One of the smartest defensive coordinators I've been around, so I learned a lot of ball from him
01:06and just understanding his scheme, but, you know, this is the nature of the beast,
01:10and this is the business we're in, so we adjust, and we look forward to this upcoming Monday night matchup
01:16against the Patriots, so working with Coach Chuck, Coach Charlie Bullen, he's got great energy, great juice.
01:22Obviously, you know, me and him are doing a lot of one-to-one communication on the mic,
01:25so just getting him comfortable with me, my process, and just letting him know that I'm here to serve him
01:31however I've got to communicate calls, however I've got to get the game day operation
01:35to make this thing work like a well-oiled machine.
01:37Well, take our fan base in a little bit deeper on that.
01:39Like, again, because Bobby is the mic linebacker.
01:43He's the one that's got the intercom system.
01:45He's your relaying and communicating with the defensive coordinator until it cuts off.
01:51So can you kind of take our fan base into what that communication is actually like on game day
01:57and how are you guys going about trying to get that right?
02:00Yeah, so obviously we've got people upstairs in the box.
02:04Shout out Grant.
02:05He does a great job, one of the assistant linebacker coaches.
02:07But he's relaying to Chuck on the sideline, the personnel situation of the game.
02:14And then Chuck is relaying into me.
02:16I only have a mic.
02:17I don't have – I mean, I only have a headset.
02:18I don't have a mic, so I'm not talking to him.
02:20He's talking to me.
02:21But he's telling me to call.
02:23He's telling me the personnel, and he's just giving me reminders,
02:26whether, you know, telling Drew to be aware of the slant based off the formation
02:30or telling Vaughn alert the zombie or telling Enns alert the kickout.
02:35So I'm relaying that coach communication to them
02:37and just making sure everybody's lined up so we can line up and play.
02:41What kind of difference or differences do you think we're going to see this week
02:45with him as making calls as opposed to with Shane Bowen?
02:50You know, we'll see.
02:51Obviously, it's a growing and growing process.
02:53We had a great Wednesday practice today.
02:55You know, worked very smooth.
02:57You know, Chuck's an outside linebacker coach,
02:58so he's going to have those guys, Burns and Abdul, fired up.
03:01And, yeah, we're going to hit him in the mouth and be ready to play.
03:04You've been in this business a long time.
03:06Like, obviously, we came into the season, we were looking at the defensive front
03:09and we looked at the defense this year.
03:11A lot of people thought it was going to be a top ten defense.
03:13Where has it gone wrong, Bobby?
03:15You know, we just have an opportunity to correct it.
03:18Obviously, our yards per carry and our run game is not great,
03:20but we just got to execute better.
03:23You know, Chuck talked about it today.
03:24Like, offense, first, second down, they have the schematic advantage.
03:28But on defense, our advantage is effort, violence, and physicality.
03:33So we're excited to put that on display on Monday night.
03:35Last but not least, you personally.
03:37How do you feel about your play this year?
03:39And, like, you know, not only your play, your leadership as well overall.
03:43Yeah, I feel like I'm doing a solid job.
03:45Always have room to improve.
03:47I'm sitting at 103 tackles right now with five more to go.
03:50So I've got to stay on pace, keep ramping it up,
03:52create some splash plays, some forced fumbles, some picks, some turnovers,
03:57get this team juiced up.
03:58All right, man, good luck on Monday night.
04:00Appreciate it.
04:00Thank you, brother.
04:01Much love.
