In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, the Lord be with you.
00:20
Dear brothers and sisters, today we are celebrating the feast of St. Catherine of Alexandria,
00:26
Virgin and Martyr. Dear friends, let us come before God as we are. Let us acknowledge our
00:34
human frailties and littleness before God as we prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries.
00:44
You are sent to heal the contrite of heart. Lord have mercy. You came to call sinners.
00:51
Christ have mercy. You are seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us. Lord have mercy.
01:03
May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into life everlasting.
01:10
Let us pray.
01:16
Almighty ever-living God, who gave St. Catherine of Alexandria to your people as a virgin and invisible
01:26
martyr, grant that through her intercession, we may be strengthened in faith and constancy
01:34
to spend ourselves without risk for the unity of the Church.
01:41
Through the Lord Jesus Christ our Son, who leads and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
01:47
God, forever and ever.
01:49
The one sitting on the throne spoke. Now I am making the whole of creation new, he said.
02:10
Write this, that what I am saying is sure and will come true.
02:17
And then he said, it is already done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
02:28
I will give water for the well of life, free to enumer anybody who is thirsty.
02:35
It is the rightful inheritance of the one who proves victorious.
02:40
And I will be his God, and he a son to me.
02:47
The word of the Lord.
02:50
Your response.
02:52
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
02:58
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
03:02
The good waters has engulfed us, the torrent goned over us.
03:13
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
03:21
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
03:22
The good waters has engulfed us, the torrent goned over us.
03:27
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
03:36
Indeed, the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.
03:43
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
03:47
The response.
03:49
Our soul has escaped like a bird from the hunter's net.
03:55
Alleluia, Alleluia.
03:58
This is a wise pridesmaid, whom the Lord found waiting.
04:03
At his coming, she went in with him to the wedding.
04:09
Alleluia.
04:12
The Lord be with you.
04:14
A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
04:17
Glory to you, O Lord.
04:21
Jesus said to his apostles,
04:24
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul.
04:30
Fear him rather, who cannot destroy both body and the soul in hell.
04:38
Can you not buy two sparrows for a penny?
04:42
And yet, not one falls to the ground without your father knowing.
04:48
Why, every hair of your head has been counted.
04:52
So there is no need to be afraid.
04:57
You are worth more than hundreds of sparrows.
05:01
So if anyone declares himself for me in the presence of people,
05:06
I will declare myself for him in the presence of my Father in heaven.
05:10
But the one who disowns me in the presence of people,
05:15
I will disown in the presence of my Father in heaven.
05:20
Brothers and sisters, the Gospel of the Lord.
05:23
Blessed are you, O Lord, God of all creation,
05:34
for through your goodness we have received this bread we offer you,
05:37
fruit of the earth and work of human hands.
05:39
It will become for us our bread of life.
05:42
God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received this bread we offer you,
06:05
fruit of the vine and work of human hands.
06:06
It will become for us our spiritual bread.
06:09
God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received this bread.
06:15
God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received this bread.
06:23
Pray brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God the Almighty Father.
06:29
May the offerings we bring in celebration of Blessed Catherine of Alexandria.
06:42
Bring your gracious acceptance, O Lord, we pray,
06:46
just as the struggle of her suffering and passion was pleasing to you, through Christ our Lord.
06:53
The Lord be with you. Lift up your hearts. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
07:04
It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks,
07:11
Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God. For the blood of your blessed martyr,
07:18
said Catherine of Alexandria, pour out like Christ's glory your name.
07:25
Show forth your marvelous works, by which in our weaknesses you perfect your power,
07:32
and on the feeble, bestow strength to bear your witness to Christ our Lord.
07:39
And so, with the powers of heaven, we worship you constantly on earth,
07:44
and before your majesty, as without end, we acclaim,
07:50
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God our host, heaven and earth are full of your glory.
07:56
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord.
08:08
You are indeed holy, O Lord, and fount of all holiness.
08:12
May we call you, therefore, this, if we pray, by sending down your spirit upon them like a deer fowl,
08:18
so that they may become for us the body and the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
08:23
At the time he was betrayed, he entered willingly into his passion.
08:29
He took bread, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying,
08:36
Take this, all of you, and eat of it, for this is my body, which will be given up for you.
08:53
In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice, and once more giving thanks,
09:06
he came to his disciples, saying, Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
09:13
for this is the chalice of my blood, the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
09:18
which will be poured out for you and for many, for the forgiveness of sins.
09:25
Do this in memory of me.
09:39
The mystery of faith.
09:42
We proclaim your death, O Lord, and profess your resurrection until you come again.
09:48
Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
09:54
we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
09:58
giving thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
10:05
Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:11
we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:14
Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world,
10:18
and bring her to the fullness of charity,
10:21
together with Leo, our Pope, and Charles, our Bishop, and all the clergy.
10:27
Remember your servant, Gerard, whom you have called from this world to yourself.
10:33
Grant that he who was united with your son,
10:36
in a death like his, may also be one with him in his resurrection.
10:40
We have also our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection,
10:47
and all who have died in your mercy.
10:50
Welcome them into the light of your face.
10:54
Have mercy on us all, we pray,
10:56
that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
10:59
St. Joseph her spouse,
11:01
with the Blessed Apostles,
11:03
St. Catherine of Alexandria,
11:04
and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:10
we may merit to be coerous to eternal life.
11:13
And we praise and glorify you
11:15
through your Son, Jesus Christ.
11:18
Through him, and with him, and in him,
11:26
O God, Almighty Father,
11:28
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:31
all glory and honour is yours,
11:34
forever and ever.
11:37
Amen.
11:38
At the Saviour's command and formed by divine teaching,
11:43
we dare to pray.
11:44
Our Father,
11:46
who are in heaven,
11:47
hallowed be thy name.
11:49
Thy kingdom come,
11:50
thy will be done,
11:51
on earth as it is in heaven.
11:53
Give us this day our daily bread,
11:56
and forgive us our trespasses,
11:58
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
12:01
and lead us not into temptation,
12:04
but deliver us from evil.
12:05
Deliver us, Lord,
12:07
we pray from every evil,
12:09
and graciously grant peace in our days,
12:12
that by the help of your mercy,
12:15
we may be always free from sin,
12:17
and saved from all distress,
12:20
as you were the blessed hope,
12:21
and the coming of our Saviour,
12:23
Jesus Christ,
12:25
for the kingdom,
12:26
the power,
12:27
and the glory are yours,
12:28
now and forever.
12:29
Lord Jesus Christ,
12:31
who said to your apostles,
12:33
Peace I leave you,
12:34
my peace I give you,
12:36
look not on our sins,
12:38
but on the faith of your church,
12:40
and graciously grant her peace and unity,
12:43
in accordance with your will,
12:45
who live and reign forever and ever.
12:48
Peace of the Lord,
12:50
be with you always.
12:51
Let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:54
Peace, Lord.
12:54
Love of God,
13:00
you take away the sins of the world,
13:01
have mercy on us.
13:03
Love of God,
13:04
you take away the sins of the world,
13:06
have mercy on us.
13:07
Love of God,
13:09
you take away the sins of the world,
13:10
grant us peace.
13:11
Behold the Lamb of God,
13:34
behold him who takes away the sins of the world.
13:39
Happy are we,
13:40
who are called,
13:41
to the supper of the Lamb.
13:44
Lord,
13:44
I am not worthy,
13:45
that you should end under my roof,
13:47
but only say the word,
13:48
and my soul shall be healed.
13:50
I am not worthy of Christ,
13:52
but only say the Lord shall be healed.
13:53
Amen.
13:55
My Jesus,
13:56
I believe that you are present
13:58
in the most blessed sacrament.
14:00
I love you above all things,
14:02
and I desire to receive you into my soul.
14:05
Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:08
come at least spiritually into my heart,
14:11
I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:13
and unite myself wholly to you.
14:17
Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:19
Amen.
14:21
Let us pray.
14:24
As we draw everlasting joys, O Lord,
14:28
from our participation in this sacrament,
14:32
and from the commemoration of Blessed Catherine,
14:36
we humbly implore that by your gift,
14:40
we may truly understand what you grant us
14:44
to be intact in diligent service to Christ our Lord.
14:49
The Lord be with you.
14:52
May Almighty God bless you,
14:53
the Father,
14:54
the Son,
14:55
and the Holy Spirit.
14:57
Go in peace,
14:58
and proclaim the gospel by your life.

May God bless you.
